On Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 10:53 AM, Deputy responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male. The male could not be revived. The Office of the Medical Investigator was called to the scene. There were no signs of foul play and it appears the death was due to natural causes.

Victim: Female, 32, Santa Fe, NM
Vehicle: 1999 Green Oldsmobile Bravada
Suspect: Jay Wagers, 19, Santa Fe, NM
Suspect: Kevin Christen, 22, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Attempt to Commit a Felony, to wit: Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property.
On Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at 7:33 AM, Deputies responded to location in reference to two males attempting to steal the victim's vehicle. Contact was made with the suspects and one of them fled the area. A foot pursuit insued and the suspect was apprehended after he removed a wheel barrow that was not his from a nearby property. Victim advised one of the suspects had taken the vehicle without her permission on a previous date and returned it the following day. One of the suspects damaged the electric window fixture trying to open the window to the patrol vehicle he was in. Both suspects were arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Location: Turquoise Trail Charter School- Santa Fe County
Deputies responded to the above location in refrence to an Apple Mac Pro laptop computer being stolen from the location. Between the hours of 2:50pm and 3:10pm the computer was left unattended in a classroom and stolen. The value of the computer was listed at $900.00. This case is currently under investigation.

Location: #28 Camino Justicia santa Fe, New Mexico. Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.
Deputies responded to the above location on this date in reference to someone sending narcotics to an inmate at the facility. Through investigation, the narcotics, later confirmed to be cocaine and heroin were intercepted by jail mail room staff. The intended recipient (Inmate) advised he did not know the person who packaged and sent the narcotics to the facility. This case is currently under investigation.

Location: Residence on Gil's Way santa Fe N.M.
Arrested: Edgar Lopez, 38-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 08-18-15 at about 11:00PM the defendant was involved in an altercation with a household member. During the altercation he prevented the victim from leaving the residence, pushed the victim, stole the victim's cell phone and held a knife to the victim's cheek. The victim was eventually able to get out of the suspects home and run to a neighbor's home where they called 911. The suspect then used his vehicle to ram the victim’s parked vehicle causing heavy damage. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was located by deputies a short time later and placed under arrest.

Arrested: Crystal Archuleta 23 yoa female, Hernandez NM
Charges: Possession of Controlled Substance
Deputy responded to the above location in reference to a narcotics violation. The above inmate was searched by Correction Officer after having unsual behavior. Once searched two small orange like film pieces were located. The above inmate admitted to the narcotics being suboxone and it belonging to her. The above was booked and charged accordingly without further incident.
0215012951 - Aggravated DWI - 08-18-15
Deputy Assigned: Dep. S. Coles / Dep. V. Ontiveros
Commander Entering: Cpl. R. J. Clark
Location: 173-MM on US 84/285
Arrested Person: Victor Marquez – 40 – Santa Fe, NM/El Paso, TX
While southbound on US-84/285 Dep. Coles observed a large U-Haul truck traveling in the same direction ahead of him. Dep. Coles saw that the vehicle was unable to maintain a single lane of travel and conducted a traffic stop. Dep. Coles noticed fresh damage to the front of the truck and after talking to the driver believed him to be impaired. Dep. Ontiveros conducted a DWI investigation on the driver and subsequently arrested him for DWI and other traffic related charges.
When the driver was requested to take a Breathalyzer Test he would only state “you can talk to my lawyer”.
The driver was charged with aggravated DWI for refusal of the Breathalyzer Test.

Location: Sycamore Loop (Cottonwood MHP)
Arrested Person: Jesus Garcia-Vazquez – 34 – Santa Fe, NM
Deputies responded to a report of a Domestic Disturbance. Upon investigation it was learned that victim was talking to her ex-husband on the telephone which made her current boyfriend angry.
The victim and the suspect began shoving each other and the suspect punched the victim in the mouth with a closed fist causing injuries.
The above suspect/arrested person was charged with Battery Against a Household Member and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Location: Estambre Court (Eldorado)
Depuites responded to the above location in regards to an activated alarm, between 3:00pm and 3:15pm. When deputies arrived on scene, they noticed a rear door had been pryed open with an unknown object. No items were reported stolen by the owner. Case is under investigation.
