On Wednesday August 20, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of State Road 503 in reference to a reported motor vehicle crash. Contact was made with the above listed driver. An odor of alcoholic beverages was detected. SFST's were administered. Driver showed signs of impairment, driver was arrested and transported for a blood draw. Driver was eventually transported to the Santa Fe County Detention Center where he was booked accordingly.

On Wednesday August 21, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to the area of Cottonwood Mobile Home Park in reference to a reported burglary. Upon Deputies arrival contact was made with the victim who advised that suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into his home. Once entry was gained suspects took electronics from within the home.

Victim reported 8:00 am and 5:00 pm an unknown suspect gained access to the residence and once inside the suspect stole the above listed items. No witnesses were located at this time. Investigation in on-going.

Arrested: John P. Romero 29 yoa male Santa Fe NM
Deputy observed suspect operating a 2005 BMW car traveling westbound on Airport Road almost strike a raised median. A traffic stop was conducted and the suspect was found to be intoxicated and displayed multiple signs of impairment. Suspect was also found to be in possession of a handgun. Suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center without incident.

Vehicle #2: Green, 2009, Ford, F-250, Pick-up
On Wednesday, August 20, 2014 at 12:03 AM deputies responded to an activated alarm at a bussiness at the location. Upon arrivial it was determined that person(s) unknown gained entry to Vehicle #1 by shattering a window. Once entry was gained to Vehicle #1, person(s) removed three (3) rifles and a shotgun from the vehicle. Person(s) unknown then gained entry to Vehicle #2 which was unsecured. Person(s) unknown located the keys inside Vehicle #2 and removed it from the location. While driving away from the location with Vehicle #2, person(s) unknown drove through a chain link fence damaging two (2) twelve feet sections. Vehicle #2 and the four (4) weapons were entered into the National Crime Information Center as stolen.

On TuesdayAugust 19, 2014 at 6:05 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle at an excessive rate of speed at a residence at the location. The suspect fled from deputies on foot and a Taser was deployed to bring the suspect under control. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and submitted to a Blood Alcohol Test. Results of that test are pending. The suspect was found to be in possession of a smoking device containing burnt residue suspected of being marijuana.

On Tuesday, August 19, 2014 at 10:39 PM the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at a residence at the location. The altercation turned physical when the suspect threw a chair at the victim striking him in in the left shin. The victim required no medical attention for his injury.
