On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (43 year old female) was found unresponsive and not breathing by her friend. At this time death undetermined. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 10:41 PM the suspect and victim were involved in a verbal altercation at a residence at the location. The altercation turned physical when the suspect cut the victim on his left arm with a knife (leatherman). The victim sustained a laceration to his left arm, was treated at the scene and declined further medical attention.

of Crash
On Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 3:45 AM the suspect was operating the west at the location. For reason(s) unknown the suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the left side, striking a barbed wire fence and a concrete block wall. The suspect fled the scene on foot and was subsequently located at his residence a short distance away from the scene. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alchol Content of .16 or greater. The suspect was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash which resulted in him sustaining a minor laceration to his head.

Victim reported that he responded to an email advertising to place Coca-Cola advertising on his vehicle, drive around town, and make $500.00 per week. Victim received a check for $2,450.00 and was advised to keep $500.00 and send $1950.00 via Western Union to Lana Nieve to Las Vegas, Nevada 89183. After sending the money via Western Union, victim was advised by his bank that the check he had used was a fraudulent check.

Jail staff report during the mail search an envelope was found with an orange type substance on the glue area of the envelope. This envelope was addressed to an inmate currently incarerated in the facility. Case still pending further investigation.

Victim reports sometime between July 10, 2014 at 9:30pm and July 11, 2014 at 7:15am unknown persons stole the above item from the above location. The wiring to the back-up camera was also damaged during the theft. Case still pending further investigation.
