Arrested: Martin Gurule 57 year old Santa Fe, NM, 87507
On August 08, 2013 Santa Fe Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the area of 873 Old Las Vegas Hwy in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Upon Deputies arrival they spoke with the above listed suspect who was involved in the crash. Suspect admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. SFST's were administered, suspect showed signs of impairment and was arrested. Suspect resfused chemical testing and was booked accordingly.

Victim stated on August 08, 2013 between the hours of 12:30 pm and 4:00 pm unknown suspects gained unlawful entry into his vehicle and took the above mentioned items. This case remains under investigation.

Location: New Mexico DOT yard located on State Road 14
Stolen: unleaded gasoline
Sometime between 5:00PM on 08-07-13 and 8:00AM on 08-08-13 someone gained access to the DOT yard by crawling under a hole in the southern fence line. They siphoned approximatley 200 gallons of fuel from a 2000 gallon storage tank, although a large quantity of that fuel spilled on the ground near the tank. They also bent and damaged a fuel pump nozzle (lock handle) on the top of the tank. Damage amount unknown. DOT employees made alterations to the storage tanks to prevent fuel from being stolen since this incident.

Arrested: Phyllis Maestas 36 yoa female, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Battery aganist a household member
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Victim stated his wife, the above suspect struck him in the head with a glass beer bottle after getting into a verbal argument. The above suspect was arrested and booking accordingly without further incident on the above charges.

Victim reported to Deputy that while he was attending to yard work on his property, he heard noises coming from within his garage. Victim stated he looked towards the garage and noticed suspect running from the area carrying auto parts in hand. Victim stated he gave chase and lost suspect. Case is under investigation.

Victim reported to Deputies that as she returned home, she drove into her driveway and observed a vehicle in her driveway. Victim stated that the suspects fled the area and she noticed then that her home had been burglarized. Suspects stole the listed types of items. The suspects were located by Deputies and were detained by investigations.
Case is currently being investigated.

Victim reported to Deputy that while traveling south on US 84/285 near the old winery, subjects in another vehicle came alongside them and began to punch their vehicle. Victim stated that suspects then brandished a firearm out the window, pointing it towards them.Victim stated they stopped the vehicle and allowed the suspects to gain distance between them. Case is under investigation.
