Decedent: 62 YOM

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a cardiac arrest.  Medical personnel were on scene and advised the patient was beyond life-saving efforts.  The decedent did have medical issues but had refused medical treatment.  OMI conducted a separate investigaion.  There was nothing suspcious identified.


Case 2024004305- Unattended death-8/19/2024

Deputy assigned: A. Gallardo

Location: Camion Capilla Vieja 

Decedent: 40 YOM

On the above date, deputies responded to the above location for a 40-year-old male not conscious or breathing. The victim was found deceased in his camper. EMS personnel stated there were no obvious signs of life, the decedent had a history of medical issues, and no signs of foul play were observed.     


Case #2024004303 // Aggravated DUI, Open Container - 8/19/2024

Location: US 84/285

Arrested: Joshua Bain (40 YO)

Deputies were called to assist Pojoaque PD with a driver who was asleep at the wheel on the side of the road. After the driver was woken up, he admitted to drinking before driving. An empty bottle of tequila was found in the vehicle as well as an empty can of beer. Driver agreed to perform SFST's, and showed signs of impairment. A breath test was requested to which the driver refused. Driver was arrested and charged accordingly. 


Case #2024004289 // Unattended Death - 8/18/2024

Deceased: Toby Quinley (66 YO)

Location: Domingo Pl.

Deputies were dispatched to a residence in reference to an individual passing away. Victim had suffered from cancer and had a DNR in place. OMI arrived and advised there were no signs of foul play. 


Case #2024004286 // Abuse of a Child, Aggravated Battery Against a HHM - 8/17/2024

Deputy Assigned: J. Watson

Location: Redondo Ct. 

Suspect: Kenneth Blake (24 YO)

Deputies were dispatched to the residence in reference to a domestic disturbance. Investigation revealed the suspect and victim got into an argument and the suspect punched the victim several times, while she was holding a two-month-old baby. Suspect fled the residence prior to law enforcement arrival. An arrest warrant was drafted and approved for the suspect. 


Case #2024004294 / Aggravated DUI - Open Container / 08/18/2024

Location: 3700 Blk Las Campanas

Arrested: Isaiah Vigil (29 YOM)

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a male slumped over at the wheel.  The vehicle was parked in the middle of traffic.  SFSTs were administered and the suspect showed signs of impairment.  Mr. Vigil was placed in custody and transported to the Sheriff's Office for chemical testing.  A partially consumed 750 ML bottle of Crown Royal was located in the vehicle during a tow inventory.  Mr. Vigil was booked accordingly.


Case #2024004271 Driving while license revoked, Failure to stop at stop sign

Location: TP 804/US 84-284 Frontage, Santa Fe

Arrested: Raymond Ortega, 37 YOA male, Santa Fe

Deputies were requested to assist Tesuque Tribal Police on a traffic stop with a non-Native American driver. Deputies were advised the driver failed to stop at a stop sign. The driver was also found to have a revoked license due to a previous DWI. The driver was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.


Case #2024004274 Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle

Location: 268 Mile Marker Interstate 25, Santa Fe

Deputies received a call for a stolen vehicle. The victim stated her vehicle had broken down I25 at the top of La Bajada. The victim stated she returned at a later date and observed the vehicle was missing. There was no record of the vehicle being towed. No suspect information at this time.

Arrested-Fatima Ortiz-Lopez 27YOF (Santa Fe, NM)

Trafic stop was conducted on vehicle for not stopping at stop sign. Driver was driving on an invalid-Revoked license due to a prior DWI. Vehicle was not registered or insured and an open alcoholic container was located inside. Driver was arrested and boked into SF ADC with out incident.

Victim stated he noticed his catalytic converter was removed from his vehicle on 8/14/2024. It is unknown who may have stole it. case is under investigation.
