On 4/24/12,  victim said that some time between 6:50am and 5:00pm, suspect(s) entered the residence by breaking the southwest living room window and stole items from within.  Victim stated that suspects stole a 12 ga. shotgun, a 20 ga shotgun, a digital camera, a laptop computer, a 22" flatscreen TV, and misc. jewelry.  Estimated value of items taken is $10,450.00.  Estimated damage amount is pending.

Location:  100 block of Arroyo Hondo Road, Santa Fe, NM (Arroyo Hondo)

On 4-24-12, deputy was  dispatched to the above location. Victim advised that he had hired a male to wash windows at his residence. After completing the job, the victim wrote the suspect a check for sixty five dollars on April 21, 2012. On April 23, 2012, the victim received a phone call from his bank asking if he had written a check to the suspect and inquired as to what amount he wrote the check for.  It was found that the suspect had altered the original check and changed the amount to three hundred sixty five dollars. On the same date, another check from the victim's check book was cashed by the same suspect at a different branch of the Del Norte Credit Union. The amount for the second check was also for three hundred sixty five dollars. Both checks were made out to the suspect.

Victim stated on April 21, 2012 he received a call from his banking institute stating numerous charges were made to his debit card totaling $220.00. Victim stated he did not open any new accounts or allow anyone to charge anything to his account.

Victim stated on Monday April 23, 2012 he received a call from godaddy.com welcoming him to the site. Suspect information is pending at this time.


0212006077 Breaking and Entering 4/24/2012

Location: 4000 block of Agua Fria (Area)

Arrested: Jerome Hena 23 year old male, Santa Fe NM

On this date Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a breaking and entering. Victim found the above suspect in her living room asking for water. Suspect entered the residence by force through a living room window. The above listed suspect was located matching the description from witnesses leaving the area. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Victim reports home was entered by force through front door and a 32" television as well as a lap-top computer are reported stolen.  Case is under investigation.

Victim reports between the hours of 7:15am and 7:30pm on April 23, 2012 unknown person(s) gained unlawful entry through an unlocked sliding door at the above location.  Once inside the above listed items were stolen.  Case still pending investigation.

On this date Deputies responded to the above location. The above listed suspect was found to have battered her ex-husband. The above suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.


Case#:  0212006012/ Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Tampering with Evidence/ Date:  04/23/12

Location:  39 Yucca Way, Santa Fe, NM (Silverado Subdivision)

Suspect:  Lorann E. Romero, age 50, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon, Tampering with Evidence

On 4/23/12 deputies responded to above location in reference to an Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon.  Victims stated that they were at the above address to terminate electrical service due to non payment.  Victims stated that they were approached by the suspect, who asked what they were doing.  Victims advised suspect ; they were terminating the service in which the suspect stated, "No your not."  Suspect then proceeded over to a pop up trailer and obtained a weapon.   Victims stated that the suspect returned with a small caliber handgun and pointed it at them.  A firearm was located after the suspect stated that she did not have one.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location: Puye Road, Santa Fe, New Mexico

Stolen: (1) Sony Blu-Ray DVD player, costume jewelry, and a shaving kit.  

Victim reported that sometime between 7:00 am and 4:45 pm on today's date, unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim’s house and took the above items. There were signs of forced entry to the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On 4/23/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to an identity theft.  Victim stated that while he was trying to take out a loan, he learned that an unknown suspect had used his personal identification to open an account with Comcast.  Suspects accrued an account balance of $693.00.
