Stolen: 32" Phillips flat screen TV, Phillips 320 GB external hard drive, Elgin gold plated pocket watch engraved letter D, Elgin brass pocket watch, Black metal cash box, Frost cutlery black craved handle 11" knife

Sometime between the hours of 7:00 AM and 10:00 PM, on September 4, 2012 some unknown person entered the above residence by prying a back window open and then reached in opened the door and stole the above listed items.

The above listed items were stolen valued at about $2750.00

Above listed inmates recieved mail containing what is believed to be illegal contraband. Contact was made with suspects and the cases are currently under investigation.

Location:  business off of Bisbe Ct., Santa Fe, NM (off of Rancho Viejo Blvd.)

On 9/4/12 victim reported that between 8/31/12 at 1700 hours and 9/4/12 at 0700 hours unknown persons stole his 2008 utility trailer from his property.  Victim stated that the trailer was not locked but did have a lock on the trailer which was also taken.  Estimated value of the trailer is $1700.00.

Victim reported to Deputy that unknown persons is using her husbands social security number for employment. Victim stated she was alerted by the State of New Mexico welfare office that she was denied benefits due to the husband working. Victim stated her husband is not working at this time. Case is under investigation.

Victim reported to Deputy that unknown person cashed three checks using his personal bank information. Victim stated he did not authorize anyone to use his information. Case is still under investigation.

Location: Plaza del Cerro, Chimayo, NM

Stolen: A black in color, 1800's antique wood burning stove (Unknown make or model)  

Victim reported that sometime between  Saturday August 4th, 2012 at 12:00 pm and Tuesday September 4, 2012 at 9:00am. Unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim’s house and took the above item. There were signs of forced entry to the residence. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

The above listed item was valued at about $1,500.00

Damaged: Fifteen (15) classroom windows

Victim reported that sometime between Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 4:00 pmand Tuesday September 4, 20123 at 8:00 am (Labor Day weekend) unknown person (s) damaged fifteen (15) windows at the Academy for technologies School. This case is currently under investigation. 

The damage to the vehicle was estimated to be $5000.00


Case#:  0212013921/ Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon/ Date:  09/03/12

Location:  motorcycle track off of Wheat Street and Arroyo Seco Circle, Espanola, NM (Arroyo Seco)

On 9/3/12 deputies responded to above location in reference to an aggravated assault.  Victim stated that they were riding their motorcycles on the track when they observed a green in color pickup parked on the track.  Victim stated that he approached the suspect who threatened to shoot him and his family and that the track was not private property.  Suspect showed that he had a handgun underneath his shirt.  Victim's wife called law enforcement and suspect fled the area.  Victims indicated that when suspects left they heard several shots fired unknown if it was towards them.  No contact was made with the suspect. 


Case # 0212013899/ Unattended death/ 9-03-2012

Location: Camino Cerrado, Pojoaque Terrace Mobile Home Park 

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to an unattended death. The victim, a nineteen (19) year old  was found unresponsive by a family member.There were no signs of foul play at the scene. This case is currently under investigation.


Case#:  0212013778/ Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, Aggravated Assault, Larceny/ Date:  8/31//12

Location:  4 Vargas Court, Santa Fe, NM (off of Corral Blanco)

Suspect:  Leroy Swartz, age 46, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle, Aggravated Assault, Larceny

On 8/31/12 victim advised that the suspect was observed taking his vehicle out of his property.  Victim stated that the suspect was intoxicated and he confronted suspect.  Victim stated that they began to argue when the suspect tried to stab him with a screwdriver and a pair of pliers.   Victim also stated that the suspect took 9 packs of hamburger meat, 6 steaks, 4 pot roasts and 4 bags of chili from his freezer.  Victim stated that the suspect also took his Chicago air compressor and a weedeater and put them in the vehicle he was taking.  Suspect returned to the area where he was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  Estimated value of the items are $3825.00.
