Suspect:  Jeremy Lujan, 21, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Providing or Giving Alcoholic Beverages to Minors, Aggravated DWI, Careless

                  Driving, Driving While License Suspended or Revoked, Driver Must be,

                 Licensed, Open Container, Mandatory Proof of Financial Responsibility,

                 Arrest Order - Probation Violation

On Friday, June 22, 2012 at 8:35 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle erratically (failing to control speed, maintain a single lane of travel and failed to stop for a posted stop sign) at the location.  The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .16 or greater.  The suspect was found to have provided alcoholic beverages to a 18 year old male who was a passenger in the vehicle who was also under the influence of an intoxicating liquor.  The suspect's New Mexico driver's license is suspended.  The suspect was unable to provide proof of insurance upon request.  The suspect was also found to be in possession of an open bottle of vodka and beer.  The suspect is on probation and the New Mexico Department of Corrections issued an Arrest Order for Probation Violation.

Location:  Santa Cruz Dam Road, Chimayo, NM (Santa Cruz Lake Spill well)

Victim:  36 year old male, Velarde, NM

On 6/22/12 at approximately 1453 hours, deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a male subject who went swimming and drowned in the Santa Cruz Dam Spill well.  Witnesses observed the victim swimming and then observed the victim go under the water and never came back up.  New Mexico State Police Dive Team arrived and recovered the body.  OMI was contacted and took over the investigation.  No foul play was observed.

 


Case#0212009503 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal damage to property / 06-22-2012

Location: Residence on Jemez Road off Airport Road

Stolen: New Mexcio license plate (691-RFA)

Sometime between March 2012 and June 22nd 2012 someone stoel the licence plate off the victim's 2004 Chevrolet Blazer while parked in the victim's driveway.  They also entered the Blazer and attempted to start it by tampering with the ignition system causing damage.  


Case# 0212009493 Death Investigation

Location:  Loma Vista Road, La Puebla, NM

Victim:  Male, 52, Santa Fe, NM

On Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 9:13 PM deputies and EMS Personnel responded to a residence at the location in reference to an unresponsive male.  Upon arrival the suspect was found not to be displaying any signs of life and was subsequently pronounced dead at the scene.  There were no signs of foul play.

Vehicle:  White, 2004, Ford, Explorer

Suspect:  Victor Alvareez, 59, Hernandez, NM

Charged:  DWI, Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit:  Prescription Medication

On Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10;36 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle at the location  and was reported via 9-1-1 as possibly being an impaired driver.  The suspect was found  to be under the influence of a prescription medication.  The suspect submitted to a Blood Alcohol Test and results of that test are pending.  The suspect was also found to be in possession of a medication that was not prescribed to him.


0212009479 DWI 6-12-12

Location: Old Pecos Trail/ rabbit Road

Arrested: Max Grand 18 yrs old

Deputies were dispatched to the area of Rabbit Road near old Pecos Trail in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Contact was made with the drivers of both vehicles. Driver Max Grand displayed signs of impairment. SFST’s were conducted and the driver was placed under arrest for DWI. Driver was booked accordingly into Santa Fe County Jail. No injuries were reported at the scene. Both vehicles sustained major damage.

Items Stolen: Jewelry

Victim reported that today between the hours of 10:00am and 4:00 pm unknown persons forced entry into the home by breaking the rear window. Upon entry the suspects stole the listed items. Case is still under investigation.

Vicitm reported to Deputy that on this date between the hours of 6:00 am and 7:00 am unknown persons stole power tools from the vehicle. Case is still under investigation.

On June 20, 2012 the above suspect was taken into custody at the above location on a

warrant issued by the First Judicial District Court for Failure to Comply on the original

charge of Residential Burglary.
