On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 10:42 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location. For reason(s) unknown the suspect lost control of the vehicle allowing it to leave the roadway on the right side and striking a drit embankment. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and refused to submit to a Blood Alcohol Test. The suspect was transported by Santa Fe County Fire Department Ambulance to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center where she was treated for minor injuries and released.

On 8/26/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to an inmate being assaulted. Corrections officer advised that the suspect battered another inmate by punching her multiple times in the face. Victim had multiple bruises on her face and a laceration over her left eye. Suspect was charged and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Luiz Bertelli, age 57, Santa Fe, NM
Charged: Battery on a household member
On 8/26/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a domestic dispute. Victim stated that suspect grabbed her by the arm and hit her head. Suspect ripped the shirt off of the victim and threw a circular container at victim. Victim had minor injuries to her wrist area. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location: 5300 block of Agua Fria, Santa Fe, NM
On 8/24/12 between the hours of 0740 and 1648 an unknown person cut the screen on the kitchen window and entered the home. Suspects shoe impressions were found throughout the residence. Nothing appeared to have been taken. Estimated damage amount is $50.00.

On 8/25/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that between the hours of 0700 and 1700 her father in law broke into her residence and took her husband's belongings in which she left in a corner in the livingroom. Victim stated that her husband's truck was also taken. Victim stated that she has an active restraining order on her husband and he is now incarcerated. Victim stated that her father in law gained entry from the back door and removed the plastic covering the window. Father in law did not have permission to go into the residence. Father in law admitted to going to the residence.

On 8/25/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to a larceny. Victim stated that she left her residence at 0700 and returned at 1730 to find items missing from within her residence. Victim stated that her son advised her that he lost his key to the residence and believes he might have stolen the items. Victim stated that she noticed a bottle of Tequila and several bottles of Powerade missing from the refridgerator. Victim stated that she noticed several pieces of jewelry and 6 bolo ties missing from her room. Estimated value of items taken is $2380.00.

Stolen: Ten (10) silver children's rings, One (1) mens turquoise ring, Ten (10) ladies turquoise rings, Four (4) sterling bracelets, Six (6) turquoise earrings, Thirty (30) hand painted antique earrings, One (1) cooler containing an unknown amount of bottled water, One (1) extension cord, One (1) 12pk of cherry coca-cola, and One (1) 12pk 7up.
Victim reported on August 23, 2012 between the hours of 8:00 am and 3:00 pm unknown persons gained unauthorized access into the victim’s garage and took the above items. There were signs of forced entry to a screen on the garage. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Victim reported that sometime between August 23, 2012 during the morning hours and August 26, 2012 at 9:41am unknown person(s) gained forced unlawful/unathorized entry into a hay barn at the location and stole the above items. This case is currently under investigation.

On Sunday, August 26, 2012 at 12:35 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle west at the location and was unable to maintain a single lane of travel. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alcohol Content of .08 or greater. A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the arrest cause attached. The vehicle was not seized in accordance with Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 as this incident occurred within the city limits of Santa Fe.
