A deputy initiated a traffic stop after observing a traffic infraction on a vehicle at Airport and South Meadows. The vehicle was driving very slow and the driver did not initially pull over. The driver was contacted and she displayed signs of impairment, and was subsequently placed under arrest for DWI. She resisted arrest, but was eventually handcuffed. She provided a breath sample at the SFSO that was more than twice the legal limit. Following completion of paperwork she was booked at ADC.

Arrested- Victor Reyes (32 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Deputies were dispatched to US 84/285 at mile marker 175 to assist a Tesuque PD officer, who was out with a possible drunk driver that was non-Native. Upon contact with the driver he was asked to perform SFST's, and during the tests it was determined that the driver was impared. He was placed under arrest, and refused to provide a breath sample. He was booked at ADC.

Location- Airport Rd/ Puesta Del Sol
Arrested- Charlie Sapien (36 year old male/ Cerrillos NM)
A deputy was on patrol on Airport Rd, when he ran a plate on a teal GMC Sonoma. The vehicle returned as stolen and a traffic stop was conducted. Surprisingly, the vehicle pulled over and the driver was detained pending an investigation. Eventually he was arrested and booked at ADC.

Deceased: Bernadette Romero (58 YOA FEMALE)
Deputies responded to a call for service in reference cardiac or respiratory arrest. Medical personnel conducted lifesaving procedures but were unsuccessful. The decedent suffered from health issues leading to the cause of death. The Office of the Medical Investigator was contacted to conduct an investigation. No signs of foul play were observed or suspected.

Deceased: Martin Buchsbaum ( 74 YOA MALE )
Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a welfare check. Medical personnel were on scene and advised the patient was beyond life-saving measures. The decedent suffered from health issues leading to the cause of death. The Office of the Medical Investigator was contacted to conduct an investigation. No signs of foul play were observed or suspected.

Arrested- Luis Medina Hernandez (35 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Location- Agua Fria/ Velarde St (Santa Fe)
A deputy contacted a male, who was walking in lanes of traffic on Agua Fria. The male was identified as Luis Mediana Hernandez, and he had an outstanding warrant. Deputies attempted to detain the male for the warrant, and he resisted arrest. Eventually, he was taken into custody and booked at ADC on the warrant and new charges.

Location- Cerrillos Rd
Deputies recognized an individual who had an outstanding warrant. Deputies contacted the individual and arrested him on the warrant. He was booked at ADC.

Location- Cerrillos Rd (Santa Fe)
A traffic stop was conducted on a vehicle for a moving infraction. The driver was found to have two outstanding warrants. He was arrested and booked at ADC.
Case #2025001430 & 1431 // Possession of a Controlled Substance, Warrant Arrest - 3/8/2025

Arrested: Cresencio Romero (49 YO)
Deputies conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with no headlight. Passenger was identified and had an active warrant for failure to appear on the original charges of aggravated fleeing along with other charges. Upon searching the individual, narcotics were located on his person. He was booked and charged accordingly.
Case 2025001422, 1423/ Driving while license revoked, warrant service/ 3-8-25

Location: 1100-BLK Calle Del Cielo, Santa Fe, NM
Arrested: Tomas Fragua 24 YOM
Deputies made contact with the subject during a traffic stop. The subject was driving while his driver's license was revoked and had an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The warrant was for failure to appear on an agg DWI, open container x2, and driving while license suspended charges. The subject was arrested and booked into Santa Fe ADC without incident.
