Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to identity theft. During the investigation, it was learned Credit Wise informed the victim that someone attempted to open an account with Wells Fargo using his social security number. The victim was provided with a suspect name of "Calvin Grissom" by Credit Wise. The account was not opened and the victim's personal bank was not targeted.

Subject was found during a suspicious vehicle check, and found to have an active warrant. Charges on the warrant were for Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member, Extortion, False Imprisonment, and Battery Against a Household Member.
Case #2024000222 / Aggravated Burglary, Criminal Damage to Property - 1/11/2024

Deputies were dispatched to the area due to a vehicle being broken into. Deputies arrived on scene and observed damage to the passenger side window of the vehicle, and several items missing from the vehicle to include a bat, blanket, and a knife. Victim did not have any potential suspect information.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of Fraud. Upon contact with the victim, she advised she provided an unknown person, her personal information. The person was pretending to be apart of Hulu account verification services. With the information provided, the victim's Red Target account was hacked and 1,296 dollars was taken.

Suspect: Nicholas Granados 35 YOM
Suspect arrived at District Court for scheduled meeting and was found to have an active warrant. Suspect was placed under arrest for warrant and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult detention center (ADC) without incident where he wa served and booked accordingly.

Suspect arrived at pre trial services for scheduled appointment. A check revealed suspect had an active warrant. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Santa Fe County ADC where he was served and booked without incident.

The above subject was served a warrant while at Santa Fe ADC for failing to comply. The original charge was for trafficking meth x3. The subject was rebooked.
Case #2024000200 / Receiving-Transferring a Stolen Motor Vehicle - 1/10/2024

Deputies were dispatched to assist a victim who called advising he located his stolen trailer being towed by a truck while traveling down Interstate 25. Deputies were able to initiate a traffic stop on the suspect, and confirm the trailer was stolen. Trailer was returned to the registered owner, and the suspect was booked accordingly.

Deputies were dispatched to a report of larceny. Upon contact with the victim, he advised, on 1-9-24, an unknown person(s) stole the victim's ski's. The ski's were blue and orange and were valued at approximately 1,000 dollars.

Deputies responded to the above address in reference to an unresponsive male. Upon arrival, EMS was on scene performing life saving measures, but were unsuccessful. The Office of the Medical Examiner (OMI) was contacted and arrived on scene. The decedent did have on-going medical issues. No signs of foul play were observed.
