On 9/22/11 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that he had left his home at 0915 hours and his mother in law returned at 1415 hours to find the front door unlocked.  Upon looking through the house a window screen was taken off and the glass was in the spare bedroom. Unknown suspects then went through the residence and took misc. jewelry.  Estimated value of items taken is $2935.00.  Estimated damage amount is pending.

Stolen: Kimber .45 handgun; black in color with a black nylon holster

Between September 20, 2011, and September 21, 2011 suspect(s) unlawfully stole the above weapon. Victim had a male subject doing yard work at his residence when the weapon was stolen. Suspects are pending further investigation.

Stolen items were valued at under $975..00

Suspect/Arrested: Salomon Salmeron (71 YOA)  12 Second St. Santa Fe, NM 87505

On Sept. 21, 2011 the above suspect was located at his residence and taken into custody on a warrant issued by the Santa Fe County Magistrate Court for failure to appear on the original charges of use of safety belts, possessionof Marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Stolen: Keys

Victim reported that sometime between September 20, 2011 at 3:30pm and September 21, 2011 at 7:30am, an unknown suspect gained access into a White 1995 Ford F-150 owned by Santa Fe County by unknown means. Upon entering the vehicle a key ring contains 12 keys were stolen.

The items stolen/damaged were valued at about $30.00

Suspect: Vincent Archuleta     Age: 43            Santa Fe,NM

Vehicle: 1991 Nissan 4Dr     White

Suspect was stopped by Deputy after observing that the vehicle he was operating was displaying an expired registration plate.  Deputy contacted the driver and noticed signs of impairment. Sobriety tests were administered and driver was arrested for DWI. Driver refused to chemical testing and was taken to jail where he was charged accordingly.

Location:  residence off of Blackberry Lane, Espanola,NM (Arroyo Seco)

On9/21/11 victim stated between 1230 and 1500 hours someone gained unauthorized entry to her residence through a rear window.  Victim stated that suspects stole a Playstation 3, a Xbox w/controllers, misc. DVD's, and misc. jewelry.  Victim stated that the suspects damaged the window screen.  Estimated value of items taken is $3355.00.  Estimated damage amount is $50.00.

Victim reported to Sheriff's Deputies that unknown suspect stole her purse from her employment and began using her debit / credit cards. Victim stated she does not know the total amounts that the suspects charged on the cards at this time. Case is still pending.

Location: State Road 14 in the town of Madrid

Arrested: Michael Stafford, 27-year-old male from Madrid New Mexico

    On 09/20/2011 at 11:57pm Mr. Stafford was involved in a motor vehicle crash.  He struck a parked car on the shoulder of the road while driving through the town of Madrid.  Upon Deputies arrival they made contact with Mr. Stafford who was found to be intoxicated.  He ran from Deputies but was apprehended and placed under arrest on the above charges.

On September 20, 2011 deputies responded to the above location in reference to an aggravated assault.  Roommates were arguing over money.  A kitchen knife being held by one roommate caused the other roommate to feel threatened.  The other roommate then armed himself with a sword to defend himself.  Case still under investigation.

Stolen: Toyota Tacoma Owner's Manuel, and A Golden Age Pass Placard Estimated total value: $20.00

Suspect: Pending

Sometime between 09/19/2011 at 1730 hours and 09/20/2011 at 1130 hours unknown person(s) gained unlawful entry into a Black in color 2000 Toyota Tacoma and a Black in color 1996 Jeep Cherokee through unlocked doors at the above location.  Once inside the Toyota Tacoma the above items were stolen.  Nothing was taken from the Jeep Cherokee.  Case still under investigation.
