On September 17, 2010 at 11:30 PM Suspect #1 and Suspect #2 were involved in a verbal altercation at a residence at the location. It was revealed that both suspects had active Arrest Warrants that had been issued by the Rio Arriba County Magistrate Court for Failure to Appear.

Stolen: Nail Gun, Tool Box w/ Misc Tools, 2 Drills
On above date deputies were dispatched to above address in reference to a burglary upon arrival deputies met with victim at Casitas Office where surveillance footage of the burglary was reviewed. At approximately 11:09 AM on 9-16-10 two persons exit the truck near the residence. At approximately 11:14 AM the males are seen putting something in the back of the truck. As the truck leaves the area the victim was able to identify his tools in the back of the pickup bed on video. The above items were taken valued at about $280.00. Entrance was gained to the residence by prying open the front door.
surveilance footage at Casitas Mobile Home Park showed a red in color newer model Ford F-150 pickup truck near space 80 at 11:14 AM on 9-16-10. As the vehicle left the area the victim identified tools in the pickup bed of the truck caught on video as his. The vehicle was occupied by two unknown persons. Vehicles plate appeared to be a temp tag.

Victim reported on this date that sometime within the last week some unknown person entered her residence by unknown means and stole the above listed item from a back bathroom. Victim suspects her ex husband thinking he may possibly still have a key to the residence. The above listed item stole was valued at about $20.00
This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

Arrested: Chris Vigil 36 years old
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival it was determined that the suspect had stolen the above listed vehicle. The Vehicle and suspect were located in the Riverside Mobile Home Park. Suspect was found with the keys to the stolen vehicle in his possession. The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.

Victim: 80 year old female
At approximately 6:30 a.m. the above victim was located deceased in bed by her son. OMI responded to the residence and it was determined that no signs of foul play were observed. According to OMI the initial cause of death appears to be from natural causes.

On September 16, 2010 at 11:39 PM the suspect was operating the vehicle north at the location while his New Mexico Driver's license is suspended. The suspect was found to be under the influence of an intoxicating liquor. The suspect was found to be in possession of marijuana and a glass pipe. A check with the National Crime Information Center revealed that there were four active Arrest Warrants for the suspect. Three had been issued by the Ssanta Fe Municipal Court and one by the Santa fe County Magistrate Court.

Victim reported that sometime between 9/12/2010 and 9/16/10some unknown person unlawfully entered the above listed residence through a skylight and stole the above listed items. The suspects ransacked the entire residence breaking all the windows and punching holes in the walls. The items stolen was valued at about $400.00

Victim reported that on this date sometime between 8:30am and 1:30pm some unknown person unlawfully entered the above listed residence by climbing through the bedroom window. Suspect stole the above listed items valued at about $1050.00. latent fingerprints were located at the entry point, and will be submitted to the NM Crime Lab.

Victim stated the above listed items were stolen as the vehicle was parked at the above location; victim valued the stolen items at about $1000.00. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
