Victim reported hearing a loud banging noise coming from outside her home. Victim stated that when she went outside to investigate she noticed that a white in color truck had crashed into her stucco wall, causing damage and leaving the scene. Victim stated that approximately 10' of fence was damaged.  Case is still under investigation.

Arrested: Valerie Navarette-Gutierrez   Age:21    Santa Fe,NM

Suspect while  being transfered from one area of the jail to another became violent with correctional officer  biting the correctional officer on the arm. The correctional officer sustained injuries to arm area.

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to an unattended death. The victim (92 year old male) was found unresponsive by a family member. It was undetermined at this time what the exact cause of death was but appears to be of natural causes.

    Victim repoorted a friend took her vehicle to complete some mechanic work on it in September 2010 and never returned the vehicle.

Arrested: Jay Brown     Age: 59     Los Alamos,NM

Deputy initiated a traffic stop with a vehicle driven by the listed  driver after observing him cross the double yellow lines almost colliding with the Deputy. Upon contacting the driver and speaking with him it was determined that the driver was impaired and was arrested. Driver submitted to chemical testing with the results being .15 / .15

Location:  residence off of White Boulder Road, Santa Fe, NM (Tesuque)

On 3/24/11 deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary.  It was discovered that the maids noticed the residence was burglarized and the flat screen Sony TV was taken.  The suspect gained entry through the back door by prying it open.  The estimated value is pending.  Estimated damage amount is $300.00.

Suspect: David J. Leask, Age: 56, Santa Fe N.M. 

Charges: Magistrate Court bench warrant for failure to pay fines.

  Deputies were dispatched to above residence in reference to an intoxicated male.  Upon Deputies arrival contact was made with Mr. Leask who was found to have the above warrant for his arrest.
