On 6/15/10 victim proceeded to DMV to obtain her provisional license and was told that her social security number was invalid and someone was already using it. Victim proceeded to the social security office to verify that it belonged to her in which it did. The social security number has been used by suspect since 1999. Attempt to locate information on suspect was unsuccessful.

While traveling on SR 76 approaching McCurdy Road, Deputy Martinez rolled up on a motor vehicle crash. During the investigation of the crash Deputy Martinez observerd signs of intoxication. The above driver submitted to Standardized Field Sobriety Test and impairment was displayed. The driver was placed under arrest and read the New Mexico Implied Consent Act. The driver refused to submit to chemical testing. The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail accordingly.

On June 16, 2010 vitim reported that he was informed by the New Mexico Income Support Division that his social security number and name was being used to obtain services from them for the last 12 years. Victim advised that he has never applied for or used these services and it is unknown who could be using his identity. Further investigation into this matter is pending.
