Suspect:  Raymond Ortiz, age 21, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Agg. Assault on a household member, Battery on a household member, Interference with communications

On 12/30/10 deputies responded to the Anasazi Village Apartments to an after the fact domestic dispute.  Upon arrival it was learned that the suspect had held the victim against a wall and stabbed a kitchen knife into the wall next to her head.  Victim also stated that while at the above stated address suspect took her cell phone and prevented her from calling police.  Victim also advised that the suspect pushed her into the door while she was trying to leave the residence causing minor injuries to her knee and neck.  Suspect fled the area and an arrest warrant was obtained.  Suspect was later located and arrested.  Suspect was then transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center and booked accordingly.


CASE:  0210012870 / DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE, OPEN CANTAINER / 12-31-2010

LOCATION: 3900 BLOOK OF CAMINO JULIANA, SANTA FE AREA

ARRESTED:  LUIS R. CARAVEO, 19 YOA MALE

CHARGES:  DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE, OPEN CONATINER

On this date at above listed location.  luis R. Caraveo was observed driving a 1997 Ford F150 pickup, then he parked it into a Handi-cap parking zone.  Deputy contacted Luis and found him in possession of an open can of beer.  A check of Luis's driver's license showed he had a revoked license with the 66-8-122G arrest clause.  Luis was arrested on  above listed charges and his vehicle was seized by the Sheriff's Office.  Luis was transported to the Adult Detention Center where he  was booked with out incident.


0210012838 / DEATH INVESTIGATION / 12-30-2010

DEPUTY ASSIGINED:  DEPUTY RICHARD HILDERBRANT

LOCATION:  #100 BLOCK OF SHORT ROAD (NAMBE AREA)

VICTIM:  81 YOA MALE

VICTIM WAS FOUND BY HIS FAMILY MEMBERS OUTSIDE OF HOUSE AND HE  WAS NOT BREATHING.  MEDICS WERE CALLED TO LOCATION.  INVESTIGATION FOUND WHERE VICTIM HAD MAJOR HEALT PROBLEMS AND PASSED AWAY DUE TO THEM.  NO CRIMINAL ACTIVY WAS FOUND AND DEATH DEEMED TO BE NATURAL.

Location:  residence off of Olive Lane, Santa Fe, NM (El Rancho)

On 12/30/10 deputies were dispatched to above location.  Victim stated that she had left her residence at 0900 and returned at 1200 hours to find the door to her master bedroom shattered and a Dell laptop computer and a marking pen kit stolen from within.  Estimated value of items taken is $200.00.  Estimated damage amount is $300.00.

Location: FireRock Road   (Rancho Viejo)

Suspect: Michael Armijo   age 28

Charges: Aggravated assault on a household member/ Interference with communication/ Battery against a household member

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a domestic altercation. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who stated that her boyfriend had hit her and drug her around the house by her arms. The suspect also held a knife against her throat. The victim had visible injuries. The suspect was arrested on the above charges.


0210-012815/ Death Investigation/warrant arrest/ 12-29-10

Location: Kachina Road (Hwy 14)

Suspect: Frank Gallegos  age 57

Charges: Magistrate Court warrant for failure to appear

Deputies responded to an unresponsive 50 year old female. The female was home with her husband when he realized that she was laying on the couch unresponsive . Medic units responded to render aid. The husband admitted that him and his wife had been arguing and were involved in a physical altercation prior to finding her unresponsive. The case is currently pending investigation. During the investigation it was discovered that the husband had an outstanding Magistrate Court warrant . He was arrested without incident.  


Case#:  0210012799/ Aggravated Battery on a household member/ Date:  12/29/10

Location:  Jemez Road, Santa Fe, NM (off of Airport Road)

On 12/29/10 victim stated that he was battered by his son at the above location on 12/24/2010 at about 3:30pm. Victim had been taken to the Hospital and had surgery for a broken jaw he sustained in the incident. Victyim also stated the son took his white 1995 Ford F-150 truck bering NM License Plate LHS545.

Location:  residence off of Fonda Road, Santa Fe, NM (Eldorado)

On 12/29/10 deputies were dispatched to above address in reference to a larceny.  Victim stated while she was out of town she had her neighbor check on her residence.  Victim stated that she noticed that misc. jewelry was taken from inside her residence.  Victim stated that there was no forced entry into her residence.  Victim estimated the value of the jewelry that was taken to be about $5050.00. 


0210012735, Burglary (Auto), 12-28-2010

Location: 6100 block of Airport Road

Suspect: Pending

Deputies responded to an Auto Burglary.  Upon arrival, victim stated the rear window to a 2001 GMC Yukon had been broken.  The suspect then gained entry into the vehicle and stole a speaker, speaker box, amplifier and several CD's. Case is under investigation. 


Fraud, 0210012742, 12-28-2010

Deputies responded to a Fraud call.  Upon arrival Deputies contacted the victim who stated a family member was entrusted to sell a vehicle.  The family member in turn changed the name of the title and kept the vehicle.  Case is under investigation.
