LOCATION:  WILDFLOWER / CAMINO LA TIERRA, SANTA FE AREA

ARRESTED:  NICHOLAS J. COLIN, 18 YOA MALE SANTA FE AREA, JAKE HAYMAN, 23 YOA MALE, SANTA FE AREA

CHARGES:  RETAINING STOLEN PROPERTY, DWI, CARELESS DRIVING, POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND MARIJUANA UNDER ONE OUNCE.

ON THIS DATE DEPUTY WAS SENT TO A REPORT OF A MOTOR VEHICLE CRASH AT THE ABOVE LISTED LOCATION.  DEPUTY INVESTIGATION SHOWED THAT IT WAS A SINGLE VEHICLE ROLL OVER CRASH.  DEPUTY MADE CONTACT WITH NICHOLAS COLIN THE DRIVER OF THE VEHICLE.  NICHOLAS COLINS WAS FOUND TO HAVE BEEN DRINKING AND THE SFST'S WERE ADMINISTERED AND NICHOLAS COLINS SHOWED SIGNS OF IMPAIRMENT.  NICHOLAS COLINS WAS ARRESTED AND REFUSED TO SUBMIT TO A BREATH TEST.  NICHOLAS COLINS WAS FOUND TO BE IN POSSESSION OF DRUG PARAPHERNALIA AND MARIJUANA LESS THAN AN OUNCE.  INVESTIGATION SHOWED WHERE THE PASSENGER IDENTIFIED AS JAKE HAYMAN WAS SEEN RUNNING FROM THE AREA WITH A FIRE ARM.  A CHECK OF THE AREA WAS DONE AND JAKE HAYMAN WAS LOCATED ALONG WITH A RIFLE, 12 GA SHOTGUN AND A 40 CAL HANDGUN.  JAKE HAYMAN ALSO HAD BEEN DRINKING.  A CHECK OF THE FIREARMS SHOWED WHERE ONE OF THEM HAD BEEN STOLEN.  JAKE HAYMAN WAS ALSO ARRESTED FOR RETAINING STOLEN PROPERTY. 


0209007376/ Possession of a Controlled Substance/ 08-18-09

Location: Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center- Camino Justicia

Arrested: Joaquin Perea age 29, Otuafi Paea age 24, and Fernando Espinoza age 25

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Heroin, Possession of a Controlled substance to wit: Cocaine, and Possession of Drug Paraphenalia

Deputy was dispatched to ADC after the above individuals were found with suspected narcotics. Joaquin Perea was found to be in possession of heroin, Outafi Paea was found to be in possession of cocaine, and Fernando Espinoza was found to be in possession of a hyperdermic needle. All three were charged accordingly.


0209007368/ Death Investigation/ 08-18-09

Victim: 53 year old male

Location: Rancho Viejo Blvd and Calle Agua Clara

On 08-18-09 Deputy responded to a man down call at the above location. Upon arrival Santa Fe Fire Med 60 was conducting CPR. After approximately an hour of attempting to rescusitate the victim CPR was discontinued. The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene. There did not appear to be any sign of fool play. The victim appeared to have died of natural causes.


0209007360 Burglary

Location: East Old Agua Fria Street, Santa Fe NM

Victim reported that sometime between 8/14/09 3:00pm and 8/17/09 3:00pm some unknown person(s) broke a front window on the residence and gained entry. Victim reported that nothing appeared to be missing at this time. The unknown suspect also attempted to gain entry in the detached garage. Victim estimated the amount of damage to be about $2000.00

Charges: Pending Investigation

On Tue 8/18/09, at approx 0235hrs/am, a 44 yr old female reported that a male suspect whom she just met tonight, forced himself on her and had sex with her. Suspect claimed that the sex was consentual, and that there were two other people in the home, whom both claim that the victim was highly intoxicated and aggressive towards the "suspect", and that she "pursued" him. Criminal Investigation Detectives were called out, and took over the investigation.


0209007352 Attempted Burglary 08-17-09

On the above date, the above named officer responded to the above location regarding the above offense.  Upon arrival, victim advised that upon her returning home, she noticed that her exterior light was off.  Upon chekcing the residence, she noticed that her window screen had been cut and her micro-wave was pushed away from the window.  Suspect(s) unknown did not gain entry into the home.  For further information, refer to officer's report.

Arrested: Alisha Romero 21yoa

On the abobve date, the above named officer responded to the above location regarding a group gathering for a "party".  Defendant was a passenger in a vehicle and upon running a check came back with an active arrest warrant.  Defendant also confessed to having a small amount of marijuana in her possession.  She was arrested on the warrant and given a citation for the marijuana.  For further infor mation, refer to report.

Location:  3589 Jon Kim Lane, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Mario Medina, age 35, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member, Criminal Damage to Property

On 8/17/09 deputies responded to a domestic disturbance at above location.  Victim advised that suspect threw beer at her and also pushed her.  Suspect was then placed under arrest and placed into a marked Sheriff's unit.  While inside the unit, suspect began hitting his head against the window.  Suspect then laid back on the seat and kicked the window in which it shattered and the glass hit 2 Detectives in the face.  Suspect was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On 8/17/09 unknown suspects entered residence by breaking a window to a side door and unlocking door.  Suspect removed several articles of alcoholic beverages, a checkbook and a $50.00 bill.  Estimated amount of items taken is pending and also estimated damage amount is pending.

On this date Deputies responded to a residential alarm. Upon deputies arrival the front door was found to be open. The metal molding near the door knob appeared to have been pryed and damaged. Victim advised that nothing appeared to be missing.
