0209007292 DWI/Concealing Identity/Bringing Contraband into a place of Imprisonment 08-15-09

Arrested: Carlos Sanchez 19yoa

On the above date, the defendant was stoped for driving without his headlamps.  Upon making contact, officer detected and odor of alcohol.  Defendant displyed signs of impairment and was arrested.  Defendant gave a false name and his true identity was later learned.  Prior to booking, the defenant was asked if he had anything in his pockets that should not be taken into the jail.  He replied that he did not.  Upon booking him at the adult detention center a make-shift marijuana pipe was discovered.  For further information refer to officer's report.

On the above date, the defendant was stoped for failure to maintain his lane of traffic.  Officer noted an odor of alcohol.  Defendant displayed signs of impairment and was arrested.  He was transported and booked at the adult detention center.

Suspect:  Sofia Sanchez, age 40, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  DWI (felony), Resisting, Obstructing, or evading an officer

On 8/14/09 RECC dispatched deputies to above location.  Vehicle was located on a dirt road by I-25 East Frontage Road at mm5.  Suspect was located passed out in the driver's seat.  Upon contact with driver, deputy detected an odor of an intoxicating beverage on her breath and person.  Suspect showed signs of impairment and also admitted to drinking.  Suspect refused to submit to SFST's and was placed under arrest.  Suspect attempted to runaway while handcuffs were being placed on her wrists.  Suspect was read NM Implied Consent and agreed to submit to a breath test in which the BrAC were .29, .30. Suspect was then transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On the above date, officer conducted a traffic stop on the defendant who was seen violating traffic laws.  Upon making contact with the defendant, officer noted signs of impairment.  Defendant failed field tests and was arrested.  A breath test was conducted, which varified the defendant was under the influence of alcohol.  He was transported and booked at the adult detention center.

Location:  402 Rodeo Rd., Santa Fe, NM (Sierra Vista Assisted Living Ctr.)

Victim: 90 year old female

On 8/13/09 RECC received a call in reference to a female resident at the above location who had just passed away.  The female resident had taken a turn for the worse since Monday.  She had a medical history.  Does not look like foul play was involved.  OMI arrived on scene and pronounced time of death at 1715 hours.

Above listed subject was arrested on above listed charges and two outstanding warrants after he was observed operating a motor vehicle on maclovia street. Deputies attempted to stop the vehicle as it reached siringo road. the driver feld on several side streets and then abandond the vehicle and fled on foot and was apprehended. subject was found to be intoxicated and had a five month old baby in the vehiclein a unsecured carseat at the time of fleeing.

Charges: DWI, Open Container, Roadways laned for traffic

 

On 8-13-2009 at approximately 1:49 p.m. Deputy B. Markly observed a green Chevy Avalanche traveling south on I-25 failing to maintain its lane of traffic.  A traffic stop was made at the above location and contact was made with the driver listed above.  The driver had a strong odor of an alcoholic beverage on his person and two open beer cans were observed in the vehicle.  The driver was given SFST's in which he exibited impairment.  Subject was arrested and provided a breath sample of .15 BrAc.

On the above date, the above named officer responded to the above location regarding the above offense. Upon arrival, victim advised that sometime between August 9th and this morning at 1:30am, unknown person(s) gained unlawful entry into his home by breaking the southeast bedroom window.  Upon entering, suspect(s) stole and X-Box 360 player, five games forn the player and eleven DVD's.  For further information, refer to report.

On the above date, the above named officer was dispatched to the above location regarding a motor vehicle crash.  The defendant was seen by an off duty fire paersonel who initiated the stop in his fire unit upon seeing the defendant driving poorly.  Upon officer making contact with the defendant, signs of impairment were noted.  The defendant was arrested and refused to submit to a test.  He was transported and booked at the adult detention center.
