On 12/23/09 victim wanted to report that unknown suspects had purchased items at Family Dollary for the amount of $215.61 with one of his checks.  Victim stated that he never wrote out the check or had gone to Family Dollar.  Victim stated that suspects had forged his name when they wrote out the check.  Victim stated his wife had ordered checks but never received them.  No suspect information at this time.  Amount was taken out of victim's checking account.

Location:  5999 Airport Road #39, Santa Fe, NM (Country Club Apts.)

Suspect:  Phillip Cardenas, age 48, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Battery on a household member

On 12/23/09 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a fight in progress and people yelling.  Deputies were informed of a domestic disturbance.  Victim stated that she and suspect were arguing verbally and then suspect pushed her back on a chair and grabbed her face.  Suspect denied any physical contact.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

 


Case#:  0209011061/ Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date:  12/24/09

Location:  2900 block of Aspen Loop, Santa Fe, NM (Cottonwood Mobile Home Park)

On above date victim reported taht he left his residence at 1700 hours and returned at 1800 hours to retrieve a gift.  Victim stated that he left 5 minutes later and returned home again at 2100 and noticed some items missing from within his residence.  Victim stated that he noticed his 40" flatscreen TV, a 32" flatscreen TV, 2 Bulovi watches, misc. jewelry, 4 pairs of Jordan shoes, and 4 of his uniform shirts missing.  Entry was gained through the back door.  Estimated value of items taken is $5566.99.  Estimated damage amount is pending.

Location: Vuelta Ventura (SAF Area)  Suspects information upon further investigation

Stolen Vehicle: 1988 Chevrolet pickup

Victim reported that between 3:00am and 8:00am suspects took aforementioned vehicle. Vehicle was entered into N.C.I.C. The vehicle was later recovered by the Texas State Police in Amarillo, TX.

Victim reported that between 12-22-09 and 12-24-09, unknown person(s) made several unauthorized charges to her bank account in Phoenix, Casa Grande, and Suhaurita AZ. Charges totalled approximately $1500.00. Victim stated her debit card is in her possession and is not sure how the charges are being made. No suspect information has been developed.

Charges: (2) counts of Criminal Damage to Property and Assault on a Household Member
Victim reported that she and her boyfriend were involved in an argument that escalated. She stated that the above suspect damaged her motorcycle and her vehicle. These vehicles were registered to another friend of hers that she bought the vehicle from. The suspect also made the victim feel that she might receive a battery, as he yelled and damaged her belongings in the fight. The victim was not harmed.

Location:  I-25 mm 288, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Elizabeth Hank, age 44, Los Angeles, CA

Charged:  Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, Open Container

On 12/23/09 the defendant was involved in a motor vehicle collision.  During the course of contact with the defendant it was noted taht the defendant displayed numerous signs of impairment by an intoxicant, the defendant was then arrested.  While taking inventory of the vehicle there was two open 24 oz. cans of Michkeys beer.  Unable to locate if there was insurance for the vehicle.  The defendant was transported to St. Vincent Hospital then released and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  A blood draw was taken for results on BAC.

Location:  7 Avenida Vista Grande, Santa Fe, NM (Eldorado)

On 12/24/09 victim reported that above incident occurred within 5-10 minutes 1445 and 1455 hours at the Agora Shopping Center.  Victim left her purse in the vehicle and suspects gained entry by breaking rear window with an unknown object.  Suspects took a purse, pocketbook $110.00 in currency, medication, and a gift card.  Estimated value of items taken is about $270.00.  Estimated value of window is about $250.00.

Arrested: Fernando Salazar 25yoa (AKA)Fernando Santos

On the above date, the above named officer conducted a traffic stop on the defendant for improper driving.  upon running a check for warrants, the defendant returned with two active arrest orders out of the Magistrate Court for failure to appear.  It should be noted that the defendant gave officer an alias of Fernando Santos, which the first warrant hit on; he then gave the name of Fernando Salazar, which the second warrant returned.  He was booked on both warrants at teh adult detetnion center.

Arrested: Edward Madrid 42yoa

On the above date, the above named officer responded to the above location regarding the above offense.  Upon arrival, the victim advised that the defendant accused her of calling the police on him for driving drunk.  Victim stated that the defendant pushed her and kicked her.  The defendant was transported and booked accordingly at the adult detention center.  For further information, refer to officer's report.
