Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary. Upon arrival it was learned the suspect broke the residence window with a nearby light fixture. The suspect did not enter or take anything from the residence.

Stolen: Misc. tools, Dodge Ram, Car hauler 16ft Trailer, Bobcat
Deputies learned the above vehicles were taken between Friday, 8/11/23, and Sunday, 8/13/23. The locks securing the location were cut, and several tools and a generator were taken. A trailer holding a bobcat tractor was also taken. No cameras or suspect information at this time. Vehicles were entered into NCIC.

A traffic stop was conducted for an equipment violation. The driver showed signs of possible intoxication. SFST's were conducted and the subject showed signs of impairment. The subject agreed to a breath test which revealed a .17,.16 breath alcohol content. The subject was taken to Santa Fe ADC.

Deputies resonded to the Bufflo Thunder Casino in reference to a report of a possible kidnapping. Deputies arrived, and during their initial investigation found that the victim was confronted at gunpoint, and taken away in a gray Ford Mustang. Suspect was tracked to an address in Albuquerque. APD arrived at the address and located the suspect. Suspect was taken into custody. Santa Fe County CID was contacted to take over the investigation.

Arrested: Jeffrey Barela, 45YOM, Santa Fe, NM
Deputies were dispatched to a wrong-way driver call. Deputies located the vehicle. Deputies conducted a successful traffic stop on Mr. Barela at the above location. Mr. Barela had bloodshot, watery eyes, slurred speech, odor of alcohol, and open containers in the vehicle. Mr. Barela showed signs of impairment during SFSTs and was arrested for DUI and driving wrong way on the highway. Mr. Barela did not agree to submit to a breath test to determine the alcohol content of his blood. Mr. Barela was booked into SFADC.

Deputy dispatched to location in reference to criminal damage. Once on scene, it was learned unknown suspect(s) pried open a uility locker storing equipment that monitors the flow of water. Once inside, the suspect(s) stole computer equipment. Cost to repair and/or replace equipment was esimated at $20,000.00. Case is under investigation.

Arrested: Alan Rubio-Suarez, 43 YOA male, Espanola
Deputies were dispatched to the 181 mile marker of US 84/285 to assist Pojoaque Police on a traffic stop. The driver of the vehicle showed signs of impairment and was arrested. The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility accordingly.

Deputy dispatched to the area of Eldorado in reference to a male who left the location intoxicated. Deputy located the vehicle near Sawmill Rd and St. Francis Dr. and conducted a traffic stop. Deputy noted signs of impairment and conducted a DWI investigation. Suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Sheriff's Office where a breath test was administered. The results of the breath test were at least double the legal limit. Subject was charged and booked into Santa Fe County Jail without incident.
