The victim advised she was scammed into buying thousands of dollars worth of gift cards after receiving a text message from unknown persons.
Case #2025001297 / Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle / 03/04/2025

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. The vehicle was taken from the reporting person's property without consent. The case is under investigation.

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a domestic disturbance. It was determined that Mr. Baca battered a household member and was subsequently arrested. He was booked accordingly

Traffic stop was initiated due to a vehicle not having registration. Contact was made with the driver and he was identified and found to have multiple warrants for his arrest as well as a revoked drivers license due to a prior DUI. Suspect was booked at the detention facility and charged.

Deputies responded to a call for service in reference to a cardiac arrest. Medical personnel were on scene and advised the patient was beyond life-saving measures. The decedent suffered from several health issues. There were no signs of suspicious activity identified. OMI performed a separate investigation.
2025001293 / Unattended death / 03-02-2025

Decedent: 89 YOM
Deputy responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male. CPR performed without results. It was learned decedent was suffering from an illness for a few weeks. No signs of foul play observed or suspect.
Case #2025001286/DWI/03-01-2025

Location: Cerrillos Road at Cristos Rd, Santa Fe, NM
Arrested: Jermarkez McReynolds (26), Jackson, Alabama
On Saturday, March 1, 2025, deputies were conducting a DWI checkpoint when they made contact with the above driver. The driver appeared under the influence and was asked to consent to Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. The driver showed signs of impairment and was subsequently placed under arrest. The driver did not consent to chemical testing. He was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility, where he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Arrested: Pierre Cole 50 yoa male (Santa Fe)
Subject was identified during a traffic stop and found to have an active warrant out of Santa Fe Magistrate Court. He was arrested and booked into SFADC without incident.

Arrested: Sean Gallegos 34 yoa male & Sean Mendoza 24 yoa male
Deputy was on patrol and observed a large open fire. Deputy had persons put out the fire and identified the males. Two were found to have warrants for their arrests. They were for Gallegos: Warrant 1 FTA (magistrate court) Battery & Shoplifting Warrant 2: (Magistrate) FTA Shoplfting (3 counts) Warrant 3: FTA:(Magistrate) Shoplifting and Concealing ID. Mendoza: Warrant 1 (District Court ) FTC: Fraudulent refusal return leased vehicle or personal property (over $500) and escape or attempt to escape from the custody of a peace of officer. Warrant 2: FTA (Municipal) Resisting Arrest. Both were taken to SFADC.
