On Thursday, January 19, 2023, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, it was found the above suspect had battered a household member and had not let the victim leave. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. There, he was booked accordingly and without incident.

On Thursday, January 19th, 2023, deputies responded to a report of fraud. Contact was made with the victim and they advised unknown persons obtained checking account information and used it to cash fraudulent checks. Case remains under investigation.

Deputies stopped vehicle for having a headlamp out. Driver showed signs of impairment. Driver was arrested and booked into SFCADF.
2023000390/Aggravated Assault With a deadly weapon

Suspect: Julio Olivas-Fernandez, 36YOM, Espanola, NM
Location: El Llano Road
Deputies responded to a fight. Upon investigation, it was learned that during the altercation, a knife was brandished and pointed at the victim. Suspect was arrested, transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center, and booked accordingly.

Arrested: Gilbert Salazar 33 yoa male (Ojo Caliente) & Jurray Pena 23 yoa male (Espanola)
Subjects were stopped for a traffic violation. During the course of the traffic stop, Mr. Salazar was found to have an active warrant issued by Rio Arriba Magistrate Court for failing to pay fines in relation to a traffic case. Mr. Pena was found to have an active warrant for his arrest for failing to appear in reference to a burglary. Both were arrested and booked without further incident.
