Deputy was traveling westbound on Caja del Oro grant Rd when he observed a maroon mustang cross a double yellow lined, no passing zone at a high rate of speed. This almost side swiped a vehicle and almost hit the Deputy in a head on collision. The vehicle was also observed driving off of the roadway onto a dirt shoulder, unable to make a turn due to high speeds. The driver was stopped and arrested for the above charge. Subject was transported and booked at SFADF without incident.

Suspect forced entry into a home that was vacant and pending being rented causing damage to the interior. He was detained by deputies, resisted them and was in possession of narcotics.

2022002062/ BURGLARY OF A MOTOR VEHICLE

On 4-5-2022, Deputy Olivas responded to the market parking lot, where the victim was found/ vehicle's owner. The vehicle's owner advised some unknown persons(s) made entry into the unlocked vehicle and removed property of the owner's . At this time, there is no known suspect information. This case is under investigation.
2022002071/ BATTERY UPON A POLICE OFFICER (X2) AND RESISTING AN OFFICER

LOCATION: 32 QUAIL RUN, SANTA FE, NM 87508
ARRESTEE: MELECIO GALLEGOS- 28- YEAR OLD HISPANIC MALE- SANTA FE COUNTY RESIDENT
Charges: Battery upon a police officer (x2) (4th degree Felony) and Resisting an officer (misdemeanor).
On 4-5-2022, Deputy Maylone, Deputy Christopher Podolak and Cpl. Cullison responded to a domestic issue at this address. One party involved was identified as Melecio, who appeared to be under the influence an unknown narcotic during the encounter with law enforcement.
Based off the fact, Melecio is currently on condition of release pending charges and on probation with State of NM Probation and Parole; this is a direct violation of his conditions. Since an arrest order was issued, Deputy Maylone attempted to place Melecio into custody. This was when Melecio actively fought and kicked Deputy Maylone and Cpl. Cullison. Melecio was taken into custody.

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a female subject that was not conscious and not breathing.
Upon deputies arrival it was found the female was beyond help. No signs of foul play were found the case is under investigation.

On the above date deputies spoke with the reporting party who stated he had parked at the location to eat breakfast. When he returned he noticed his vehicle was broken into and the above items had been taken. The case is under investigation

Deceased: 58-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at approximately 8:30pm deputies responded to a deceased male located by family members in his home. Investigation revealed his family last spoke with him yesterday around noon. He is suspected of heavy drug use and drug paraphernalia was located all over the house. No suspicious circumstances or criminal activity was discovered at the scene.

On Tuesday, March 29th, 2022, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, contact was made with the above individual, who was attempting to start a vehicle with a tampered ignition. During the course of contact, it was learned the subject had an active bench warrant out of the Santa Fe Municipal Court. Located on the subject was suspected methamphetamines and a forged ID card. The subject was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.
