Deputy responded to the SF county jail in reference to an inmate being found with contraband. Inmate was found by Corrections Officers to be in possession of blue pills after being subjected to a dry cell holding. CO's tested the substance which tested positive for Fentanyl.
Subjected rebooked with new charges.

Deputies arrived on scene with an elderly female not conscious and not breathing. Santa Fe County medics and OMI determined that the female was deceased and no foul play was suspected.

On Monday, January 3rd, 2022, deputies located the above subject. The subject was known to have active arrest warrants. Upon contact, the subject fled from deputies. The subject was apprehended and placed under arrest without further incident. The subject was later booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility under a charge of Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer and on three active bench warrants.

On Monday, January 3rd, 2022, deputies were patrolling the above area when they conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. Contact was made with the driver and he displayed signs of impairment during SFSTs. The driver was placed under arrest and agreed to provide a breath sample. The driver provided two samples, both showing a BrAC of above the legal limit. The driver was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Sunday, January 2nd, 2021, deputies responded to the above location for a report of a recovered stolen vehicle. A caller advised his vehicle had previously been stolen and he had located it in a remote area of Santa Fe County. The caller also said his vehicle was parked next to two campers and another vehicle. Deputies arrived on scene and announced our presence. A male, Pedro Morales-Bustos, fled from a camper but was quickly apprehended. Inside a camper, deputies found Kimberly Chavez and Jeremy Foreman. Kimberly and Jeremy were taken into custody without incident. During the course of the investigation, it was found that both campers were stolen out of the City of Santa Fe and several vehicles were also found to have been stolen out of the City of Santa Fe and Santa Fe County. All three subjects were transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility and were booked without incident. This case remains under investigation.

Pojoaque Police stopped the vehicle and discovered the driver's license was revoked due to a previous DUI and non-native. They contacted the Sheriff's Office who arrested the subject and booked him into the county jail

On the above date the suspect broke into two houses in the Eldorado area. The suspect was apprehended. The suspect was also linked to and admitted to stealing a vehicle in the City of Santa Fe prior to burglarizing homes in the Eldorado area. The suspect was booked without incident into the Santa Fe County jail.

On 1-1-2022 Lorance Sanchez was stopped by tribal police for speeding within their jurisdiction. During the stop tribal police detected the odor of an alcoholic beverage coming from Sanchez's person. RECC was requested by tribal police to have Deputy Neito assist with this stop.
During the investigation, Deputy Neito observed signs of impairment during SFST on the driver, Lorance Sanchez. Sanchez was placed into custody and read the NM Implied Consent Advisory, which he agreed to submit to a chemical test. Sanchez blew above the legal limit. Sanchez was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On 12-31-2021, Deputy Pool responded to the area of Colonial Drive in the Santa Fe County Community of Edgewood, NM. Deputy Pool was responding to a suspicious person in this area. Upon his arrival, Deputy Pool encountered a male identified as Giovanni Benjamin Chavez.
During his interactions with Chavez, Chavez was displaying signs of impairment. Chavez was also operating a motor vehicle on a revoked license. Chavez was arrested on these infractions and read the NM Implied Consent Advisory. Chavez refused a chemical test. Chavez was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center without any further incident.

Victim: Lois Peacock
Victim had been suffering from dementia for several years and was in poor health. On December 30, 2021 after lunch she decided to take a nap and passed away in her sleep.
OMI was called to the scene. No signs of foul play. Lois had a DNR in place.
