Pojoaque Police stopped a vehicle for speeding. It was discovered the vehicle was stolen and the suspect was not native. They requested the sheriff's office to respond who took over the investigation. The suspect was arrested and booked.

On the evening of 10-28-2021, Lt. Michael Delgado observed a vehicle as it left the roadway in a cloud of dust near the above intersection. The driver, Lorinda Salazar was found to be displaying signs of impairment up Lt. Delgado's contacting her on a traffic stop. A DWI investigation was conducted and Salazar was placed into custody based off the investigation. Open containers of an alcoholic beverage was located in the vehicle. Salazar consented to a chemical test, which yielded the results of a 0.27g/210L and 0.25g/210L respectfully. Salazar was booked without incident

On 10-28-2021 at about 10:07 pm, Deputy Tanner Tixier responded to the above area to assist a BIA Officer with a traffic stop. The traffic stop yielded the arrest of Joseph Duran for DWI, after he was found to be impaired. Duran was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On Thursday, October 28th, 2021, deputies responded to the above location for a welfare check. Upon arrival, it was determined that the individual was suicidal and armed with a gun. Deputies attempted to negotiate with the individual for approximately nine minutes. Ultimately, he ultimately took his own life. OMI responded to the scene to begin an investigation. No foul play was suspected. This case remains under investigation.
