On Monday, September 6th 2021, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, it was found an unknown suspect entered the victim's residence and battered him. The suspect then fled the area. This case remains under investigation.

On Saturday, September 4th 2021, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a reckless driver. The Pueblo of Pojoaque Police Department had issued a BOLO on a Polaris Razor that they had attempted to pull over previously. Deputies located the Polaris in the median and contact was made with the above driver. He showed signs of impairment and was placed under arrest. He was transported to Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility where he was booked without incident.

On Sunday, September 5th, 2021, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a reckless driver call. A citizen reported a vehicle traveling southbound at a high rate of speed. Deputies located the vehicle traveling over 100 mph. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the above individual. The driver displayed signs of impairment and he refused to submit to chemical testing. He was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Deputies were dispatched to the area for an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. It was learned that the suspect stole the recreational vehicle from the shoulder of the roadway. The victim left it there due to mechanical issues. When he returned he noticed it missing. Case is under investigation.

Arrested: Andres Lira-Hernandez, 52-year-old male from Albuquerque N.M.
Victims: 39-year-old male and 28-year-old female from Santa Fe N.M.
On 9/5/2021 at approximately 4:55pm a 2020 Hyundai occupied by a male driver and female passenger took the I-25 northbound off ramp to State Road 599 (Exit 276). They came to a stop at the red light waiting to turn left/north onto State Road 599. Once the light turned green they began proceeding through the intersection when they were struck on the driver's side by a 2011 Chevrolet truck. The driver of the truck was traveling south on State Road 599 and failed to stop for the red light. The driver and passenger of the Hyundai both died as a result of injuries sustained at the time of the crash. The driver of the truck, Andres Lira-Hernandez was not injured. He had 3 active warrants for his arrest. He was booked into SFADC on the warrants. Further charges are pending at this time.

Deputies responded to above location in reference to a death investigation. During the investigation, it was learned the deceased expired due to medical health issues. There were no signs of foul play.

Victim reported he had parked contracting truck on the side of the road the previous evening. When he arrived on the morning on 9-1-21, he found the truck window had been broken and battery stolen. Investigation is ongoing.
