The car was stolen between January 27, 2019 at 10 am and January 28, 2019 at 7 pm. Owner of the vehicle had a key lock box that he left the key in on the passenger side floorboard.Unknown suspect. Case is under investigation.

On Monday, January 28, 2019 at approximately 5:12pm, contact was made with the suspect. Suspect was run through N.C.I.C. and returned with an outstanding arrest warrant. The warrant was for shoplifting, assault, and criminal trespass. Warrant was confirmed and suspect was placed under arrest. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

The warrants were for failure to pay fines for Unlawful Taking of a Motor Vehicle, and for failure to pay fines for No Registration and No Insurance. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Sometime in the afternoon of Friday, January 25, 2019 an unknown suspect(s) removed the vehicle from location. Vehicle was entered into N.C.I.C. as stolen. Investigation is ongoing.

The above suspect was located parked partially on a sidewalk near Romero Park, and subsequently pulled over a short time later on NM 599. Suspect showed signs of impairment and was arrested. He submitted to a breath test and his results were at or above .16. Suspect was booked into SFADC.
