On Sunday, October 21, 2018, at approximately 5:06pm, Deputy responded to location in reference to a larceny. During the day an unknown suspect(s) removed a large generator from the location. The generator was valued at more than $1000. Investigation is ongoing.

Pojoaque Police Department stopped the listed suspect for speeding and failing to maintain a lane of travel.  Contact was made and signs of impairment were observed.  Suspect was not a tribal member so the listed Deputy took over the investigation.  SFST's were administered and signs of impairment were observed.  Suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

Suspect: Jalen Suina, 24, Cochiti, NM

Vehicle: 2018 white Nissan Sentra

Charges: Aggravated DWI; Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer; Careless Driving; Immediate Notice of Accidents

On Saturday, October 20, 2018 at approximately 8:32pm, deputies responded to the area in reference to a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle was seen by an off duty Santa Fe Police Officer leaving the scene of the accident with heavy front end damage and the hood up. The accident occurred in the northbound lanes of Interstate 25. The vehicle was observed by a deputy heading southbound on Interstate 25 with the hood up and no headlights. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver. Suspect showed signs of impairment and agreed to submit to the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests. Suspect was unable to follow instructions for the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was placed under arrest for DWI. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and refused to provide a breath test. After refusing to provide a breath test the suspect refused to take his leg out of the door and refused to cooperate and continued to resist, even after being advised multiple times to get into the vehicle. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without further incident.


0218017724-Child Abuse-Battery Against a Household Member-10/19/18

Victim: 37 Year Old Female

Deputies were dispatched to 30 Block of Boneyard Road in reference to a Domestic Dispute. It was determined that the suspect battered the victim in there vehicle while there child was present. Suspect was booked without incident.

On October 19, 2018 Deputies served an arrest warrant at the Santa Fe County Jail on Jason while he was incarcerated for possession of a firearm by a felon.

Victim reported he agreed to cash a check from an online girlfriend.  Victim received the check and cashed it and later found the check has bounced.  Case is under investigation.

Victim reported that sometime yesterday (10-17-18) at 6 pm and  6:30 am on today's date, unknown suspect(s) stole the above mentioned item from in front of his driveway. Case is under investigation.

Location: Starlight Circle- Santa Fe

Decedent: 75 year old female

On 10-17-18 Deputies were dispatched to the above location for an Assisting Ambulance call. Upon arrival contact was made with Santa Fe County Fire Personnel, who stated they responded to the call and found the decedent unresponsive. Life saving techniques were utilized, however, the techniques were unsuccessful. There were no signs of foul play and the decedent appears to have passed away due to natural causes.

Deputy responded to location to assist with a driver who had been pulled over for a traffic violation. The driver displayed signs of impairment and sobriety testing was administered. The driver was arrested and booked into jail after a blood draw was taken.
