Corrections Officers at the Santa Fe County Detention Center noticed the suspect acting strange. A Body scan was done and suspect was found to have a crystal like substance(Meth) in his possession. Also found was an orange strip(Suboxone). Suspect was rebooked.


0217011743-Bringing contraband into a place of imprisonment-08/10/17

Suspect: Maxwell Palmer(26)

On above date Santa Fe Corrections officer observed a male place a bag into the bushes and proceed inside the jail. Corrections officer conducted a search of the bag and discovered a knife inside of it. Contact was made with the suspect who admitted to owning and placing the bag in the bushes. Suspect was placed under arrest and booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Facility without incident.

 


0217011737 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property / 08-10-17

Location: Residence on Los Pinos Road, La Cienega area

Stolen: Flood lights, AM-FM radio and text books valued at $200.00

The homeowner reported between August 2nd and August 4th someone entered their home by kicking open the back door and stole the above listed items.

Person Arrested- James Salazar 30 yo Espanola

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to comply with conditions of probation. Subject was booked accordingly.


0217011720-Agg DWI, Driving while license suspended or revoked, open container, roadways laned for traffic- 8-9-17

Location- 100 Block of Camino Del Rincon

Person Arrested- James Salazar 30 yo Espanola

A traffic stop was conducted on a 2013 Chevrolet Silverado pickup due to the vehicle driving in the middle of the roadway on Us 85/285 Northbound. Upon contacting the above listed, it was found that he hand an odor of an intoxicating beverage emitting from his person and later refused all testing. Subject was also found to be driving while his license was revoked. Subject was placed under arrest and after searching his vehicle, an open container of an alcoholic beverage was located. Subject was booked accordingly.

During a search of the inmate, 2 pills (Suboxone) were found hidden in her belly button.

The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

During a search of the inmate, pills (Suboxone) were found hidden in the waistband of her clothing.

The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

 


0217011688, Assault against a HHM/ Criminal Trespass/Concealing Identity/Possession of a controlled substance,8-9-2017

Deputy Assigned- Eric Eccles

Location- Chusco Road (Eldorado)

Person Arrested- Johnathan Romero 18 yoa, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a disorderly conduct. Upon arrival to the location, above suspect was found inside the residence and the victim was crying and visibly terrified.  During the investigation, it was learned that the suspect who was told not to return to the residence entered the residence through an unlocked garage door and woke up the victim (Ex-girlfriend).  The suspect then continued following the victim inside the residence where she was in fear of him physically assaulting her. During the investigation, the suspect did not provide his true identity. The suspect was placed under arrest and was found to be in possession of a green leafy substance to wit: marijuana inside his back pack search incident to arrest.  Above suspect was transported to ADC where he was booked accordingly.


0217011675 – Robbery (Armed) - 08-08-17

Location: Phillips 66 – Colinas Dr. - Eldorado

 Suspect(s): Two unknown males

It was found that two (2) unknown males robbed the gas station at gunpoint.  The store clerk stated he was checking the outside of the building when a male wearing a red bandana and sunglasses came out of the dark and pointed a handgun at him and made him go into the store where another male emptied the cash registers in the amount of 300.00 dollars.
