Person Arrested: Richard Cadena, 44 year old male subject
On the aforementioned date, Deputies made contact with the above mentioned male subject during a follow up investigation. During the course of the follow up investigation, it was discovered that the male subject had an active arrest warrant for Aggravated Burglary, Larceny, Battery Against a household Member, Criminal Damage to Property of a Household Member and Interference with Communications. The subject was booked into The Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center without incident.

Incident Location: Camino Bajo (NM Hwy 14)
On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the victims home in reference to a report of a Auto Burglary. Upon further investigation the victim alleged that he observed a male subject enter his unlocked truck and remove the keys to the vehicle. The victim advised the male subject then left the area on foot. This case is currently under investigation.

On October 18, 2017, Deputies responded to the adult detention center in reference to a report of a Narcotics Violation. Upon arrival and investigation, the above mentioned individual was found to be in possession of a black "Tar like" substance during the booking process. The male subject was charged and booked without incident.

On 10-18-17 the victim reported, he had a check stolen from his mail box and it was cashed. The cluster mail box was broken into on 10-11-17 and the report was taken by the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office. The check was cashed at a local bank. Suspect information is pending at this time.

On 10-18-17 the victim reported an employee was utilizing the above equipment at the above location on 10-17-17. The employee left for about 20 minutes and returned to find the item stolen. The victim was notified by the employee on 10-17-17 at 3:30pm of the stolen item. Suspect information is pending at this time.

On 10-18-17 the above individual was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above listed warrants. Subject was booked without incident.
Case #0217015608, Death Investigation

Deceased: Male, 87, Edgewood, NM
On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at approximately 10:47pm, Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to a male, who was not conscious and not breathing. Medics were on scene and attempted life saving procedures and were not able to revive the male. The Office of the Medical Investigator responded to the scene and determined there were no signs of foul play at the scene. It appears the male passed away from natural causes.

Suspect: Meagan Sather, 37, Stanley, NM
Charges: Aggravated DWI, Careless Driving, Immediate Notice of Accident, No Insurance, Registration Required
On Tuesday, October 17, 2017 at approximately 11:50pm, Deputy responded to the area in reference to a motor vehicle accident. The vehicle the suspect was driving was located away from the crash scene. Suspect, who was driving, showed signs of impairment and the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests were administered. Suspect displayed signs of impairment and was arrested for DWI. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Advisory and refused to be tested. The vehicle was not registered and had no insurance. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was seized, due to the suspect having prior DWIs, under the Santa Fe County Seizure Ordinance 2006-5 amended 2013-5. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to a residential burglary. Victim reported that today between 12:00 pm and 7:00 pm unknown persons forced entry into their home and stole the listed type of items. Case is under investigation.
