On November 22, 2017, deputies responded to aforementioned location in reference to a domestic disturbance. The victim advised she got into an argument with the above suspect resulting in the victim being choked and held against her will. Deputies were unable to locate the suspect and a warrant was issued for his arrest.

Charges: Santa Fe County Magistrate Court Bench Warrant.
On 11/22/17 the above individual was taken into custody on an outstanding bench warrant issued out of the Santa Fe Magistrate Court. The warrant was for Failing to Appear at place or time ordered. The original charges on the warrant were for Battery Against a Household Member and Criminal Damage to Property of a Household Member. The above individual was booked accordingly without incident.

Person Arrested: Gray Brown, 33 year old male subject
On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate found in possession of narcotics. Upon further investigation, it was discovered the male subject was found to have a brown "Tar like" substance on his person. The substance was discovered during a search conducted by Corrections Officers. The above mentioned male subject was charged and re-booked without incident.

Incident Location: US 84/285, mile post 186 northbound
Vehicle Involved: 2006 Green in color, Dodge Caravan
On the aforementioned date, deputies conducted a traffic stop on the above mentioned van for speeding. Contact was made with the driver who began displaying deceptive behavior and concealing his identity. The driver then fled the area north bound towards Espanola. A pursuit was initiated in efforts to apprehend the unknown male subject. The pursuit was terminated due to the male subject's erratic driving. This case is currently under investigation.

Charges: False Imprisonment, Aggravated Battery Against a Household Member
On Monday, November 20, 2017 at approximately 9:21pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. Suspect and victim were involved in a verbal argument. During the argument the suspect battered the victim. The suspect held the victim down on the ground preventing her from being able to move. Victim had temporary disfigurement to her face as a result of the battery. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.

Person Arrested: Ricardo A. Vargas, 43 year old male subject
On the aforementioned date, Deputies conducted a traffic stop on the above listed male subject. Upon conducting a DUI investigation the male subject was found to be intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle. Upon completion of standard field sobriety testing, the male subject was placed under arrest and his vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County's vehicle seizure ordinance. The male subject was taken to the adult detention center where he was charged and booked without incident.

During a traffic stop, it found that suspect had two warrants. original charges of shoplifting (Santa Fe Municipal) and speeding (Rio Arriba County Magistrate). Suspect was booked into Santa Fe ADC.

Suspect was found with several orange strips believed to be "Suboxone". Suspect was rebooked on these additional charges. This investigation is on going.
