Victim: Female, 30, Edgewood, NM

Suspect: Abran Larranaga, 48, Edgewood, NM

On Thursday, October 12, 2017 at approximately 1:35am, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic dispute. The suspect and the victim, who are household members, had been involved in a verbal argument. During the argument, the suspect battered the victim. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.


Case #0217015290, Unattended Death

Location: Bosque Loop, Santa Fe, NM

Deceased: Male, 78, Santa Fe, NM

On Wednesday, October 11, 2017 at approximately 9:00pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a male who was not conscious and not breathing. Life saving procedures were attempted with no success. The Office of the Medical Investigator responded to the scene. There were no signs of foul play and the deceased appeared to have died of natural causes. Next of kin was notified.


0217015291 / Battery against a household member / 10-12-17

Location: County Line Road, Santa Fe, NM, 87015

Arrested: Abran Larranaga 48 years old, Edgewood NM, 87015

  Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on County Line Road in reference to a reported domestic dispute. Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies made contact with the vicitm who stated that her live-in boyfriend Abran Larranaga assaulted her after a heated argument. Witnesses at the scene confirmed that a battery did occur between Mr. Larranaga and his wife. The suspect was placed under arrest without incident. Abran was transported to the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office where he was booked accordingly.

Above suspect was served Bench Warrant for failure to comply with Conditions of Probation. Suspect was served while incarcerated at Santa Fe County ADC.  


0217015280-Burglary-Larceny-10/11/17

Deputy Assigned: M. Hernandez

Commander Entering: Sgt. T. Benavidez

Location: Arroyo Seco Circle

Taken: US Currency, Flat Screen TV,Clothing, Safe($16,000)

Deputies responded to the above address. Upon arrival to the location contact was made with victim who stated sometime between the hours of 11:00 am and 3:00 pm on today’s date her home was burglarized. Victim stated no one other than family members have access to the residence.  Victim advised there was no forced entry into the residence nor was there damage. No suspects at this time.


0217015234 / Criminal Damage to Property / 10-10-2017

Location: Rancho Viejo Blvd.   Santa Fe,NM

Deputies were dispatched to location in reference to several mailbox clusters being damaged. Upon arrival, there were several clusters in the subdivision found to have sustained damage. Case is under investigation.


Case#:0217015293, Fraud, 10/10/17

Deputy Handling: B.Lattin

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to a report of a Fraud.  Upon further investigation, it appeared that someone opened an account with AT&T in California which is currently in collections for $600.00 dollars.  The victim suspects a cousin of his to be responsible.  The case is currently under investigation.


Case#: 0217015190, Death Invesitgation, 10/09/17

Deputy Handling: J. War

Incident Location: Las Campanas Area, Santa Fe

 

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to a report of an elderly female who was unconscious and not breathing.  Upon arrival, it was learned that the decedent had a Do Not Resuscitate order in place.  The elderly female also suffered from various health conditions.  No signs of foul play were located during the investigation.

Location: NM 41 Mile Marker 32, Stanley, NM

Suspect: Elaine Popkes, 27, Edgewood, NM

On Monday, October 9, 2017 at approximately 1:18am, Deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle because the registered owner had an active arrest warrant. Suspect was the driver and the warrant was confirmed as valid and active for the original charges of: Careless Driving, Failure to Give Immediate Notice of Accident, and Child not Properly Restrained in Vehicle. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was released to a family member.

Suspect: Bernadette Segobia-Abeyta, 47, La Mesilla, NM

On Sunday, October 8, 2017 at approximately 10:01pm, Deputies responded to location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Suspect and victim, who are boyfriend and girlfriend, had been involved in a verbal argument. During the argument the suspect battered the victim. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. No one received any life-threatening injuries as a result of this incident.
