Deputy was dispatched to the above address regarding a battery.  Upon investigation it was found that the above listed person admitted to striking the victim.  Subject was booked accordingly.


0217003477-Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property- 3-13-17

Location- 100 Block of Spruce

Items Taken- Jewelry and electronics valued at $1,450.

Between the hours of 7:00 am and 5:30 pm on March 8, unknown suspects forced entry into the above residence and took the above items.  Case is under investigation.


0217003434 / Possession of a controlled substance - Possession of paraphernalia - Reckless Driving- Speeding 80-55 / 3-12-2017

Location: State Road 599 / South Meadows Drive    Santa Fe,NM

Arrested: Sergio Rascon      Age: 21     Santa Fe, NM

Above listed person was driving a vehicle on 599 at a high rate of speed. The vehicle was confirmed traveling 80 mph in a 55 mph zone. An attempt was made to stop the vehicle and the driver tried to flee but stopped after the deputy caught up to him. Upon contact, the driver was found to have paraphernalia and controlled substance. The driver was arrested and taken to jail.


0217003412 / Battery against a household member / 3-12-17

Location: 30 Buffalo Thunder Trail (Hilton Hotel)

Arrested: Gabriella Beard, 34-year-old female from Albuquerque N.M.

On Sunday, March 12th2017 at 0356 am, deputies responded to a report of a domestic disturbance in a hotel room of the Hilton.  The investigation revealed the above suspect battered a family member during an argument in the room.  The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Jail.


0217003432 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property / 3-12-17

Location: Calle Del Pinon

Stolen: Wood Burning Stove, Television, Table, Fire Pit

On above date, Deputy Vigil was dispatched to Calle Del Pinon in reference to a residential burglary.  Upon arrival it was found some time in late December, 2016, unknown suspect(s) forced entry into the residence by prying open the front door causing damage to the door and jamb.  Once inside the suspect(s) stole the above listed items.  The case is under investigation.


Case#: 0217003385, Fraud, Forgery, Larceny, 3/11/17

Incident Location: Glorieta Area

On the aforementioned date, Deputies spoke with the victim of a mail theft.  The victim advised that she was notified by her bank that an unknown person(s) was attempting to cash her personal checks.  The victim was also notified by the US Postal Service that a cluster of mailboxes had been broken into recently.  This case is currently under investigation and suspect information is pending.

Incident Location: Caminito Tranquillo (West Alameda area)

On the aforementioned date, Deputies responded to the report of a burglary.  Upon speaking with the victim, it was discovered that an unknown person(s) forced entry into her horse trailer and stole a saddle and a large amount of miscellaneous tack.  This case is currently under investigation.  No suspect information is available at this time.


0217003373 / Aggravated fleeing, Felon in possession of a firearm, Driving while license suspended / 3-11-17

Location: Interstate 25 south, mile post 264

Arrested: John Ramirez, 48-year-old male from Albuquerque N.M.

On 3-11-17 at about 1:15AM the Sheriff's Office received a report of a reckless driver on the Interstate headed southbound.  A deputy was in the area and located a vehicle matching the description, a white Chevrolet truck.  The truck was observed swearing and the deputy attempted to pull it over but the driver refused to stop.  The driver, Mr. Ramirez led deputies on a vehicle pursuit south on Interstate 25 to the Bernalillo exit and back northbound on State Road 313.  Mr. Ramirez was finally apprehended when he drove down a dead end road near Algodones.  Upon arresting Mr. Ramirez two rifles were located in his vehicle and he is a convicted felon.  He was also driving on a suspended license.  He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail on the above charges.

Location: Vista Del Monte / Valle Vista Blvd

Suspect: Zechariah Trujillo

Stolen: iPhone 7

On above date, Deputy Vigil was dispatched to the area of Vista Del Monte in reference to a female reporting a male had stolen her phone and fled on foot towards Valle Vista Subdivision.  Upon arrival Deputies located the male hiding behind a shed.  The male was placed in handcuffs at which time he fled on foot and was apprehended a short distance later.  It was later determined the male had found the phone and contacted the victim in an attempt to obtain money for finding the phone.  When the victim refused to pay for the phone he fled the area.  Suspect was booked accordingly.


0217003391 / Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon / 3-11-17

Location: Miller Gulch Road

Suspect: Mark Pernia

On above date, Deputy Maylone was dispatched to Miller Gulch Road in reference to an aggravated assault call.  Upon arrival it was determined there has been an ongoing dispute over locked gates on private property.  Today the victim in the case began cutting locks on private property when the suspect approached him.  Due to previous altercations and knowing the victim often carries weapons, the suspect carried a rifle with him to confront the male cutting locks.  After a brief exchange the male who cut the locks started going back to his vehicle.  The suspect feared the male was going to retrieve a firearm and pointed a rifle at the male.  After seeing the male did not retrieve a firearm the suspect put the rifle down and the victim left the area.  There were no injuries of shots fired.
