Charges: Driving While License is Revoked, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, Possession of a Controlled Substance, to wit: Marijuana, Driving on Roadways Laned for Traffic.
On Monday, February 27, at approximately 8:37pm, vehicle was observed failing to maintain it's lane of travel. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the driver. The driver possessed an ignition interlock driver's license, but did not have a functional ignition interlock in the vehicle. Suspect was then placed under arrest. Upon an inventory of the vehicle, marijuana was located contained in a glass jar. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. Vehicle was seized under Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 amended 2013-5.

Victim: 62 year old male
Registered owner reported he let his adult son utilize his vehicle for travel and everyday business. His son was arrested on a bench warrant and entrusted suspects one and two who are his friends to deliver the vehicle to the victim, who never did.

Above victim stated that between the hours of 7:45am and 5:00pm an unknown person(s) kicked open the front door and stole above items. Victim believes it is the suspect her ex-husband. Case is under investigation.

Above listed person was found to have an active warrant for failing to comply with his conditions of probation. Subject was booked accordingly.

Victim advised that a tax refund check was due to arrive at the residence on February 13, 2017. It never arrived. Upon calling the IRS, victim was advised that the check was delivered and had been cashed for a total of $612. Case is under investigation.

On 02/26/17 the reporting party stated he located two broken windows on the residence. The reporting party stated the tenant is out of town and he was checking on the property. The unknown suspect(s) used bricks to break the windows. Suspect information is pending at this time.
Case-0217002711-Attempted Burglary-02/24/17

Location: 100 Blk of Val Verde
Deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a burglary in progress. A male was attempting to enter the residence unlawfully. Victim ran to a nearby residence to call 911. It was found the unknown male was unsuccessful in gaining entry into the residence and left the area.

On the above date, Deputy Chastain was dispatched to La Luna Road in reference to a fraud. Upon arrival it was learned the victim had been defrauded of $3,000 after attempting to purchase an RV on Ebay. The case is under investigation.

Arrested: Alejandro Garcia-Valenzuela, 28-year-old male from Santa Fe N.M.
On 02-24-17 the defendant assaulted a household member by throwing a lamp at them. The defendant also broke the lamp and damaged a wall in the residence. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Jail on the above charges.

location: 100 Blk of Sierra place
Victim reported between 11:00AM and 7:00PM an unknown person(s) broke the rear east facing bedroom window and entered her residence. Nothing appeared to be missing. Although the residence appeared to have gone through as if someone was looking for something. Victim did advised she had received her income tax refund of $5000 which was hidden in her panty drawer which was not taken. Shoe impressions of a Nike Cortez type shoe was photographed on the rear window where the suspect enters.
