Deputies were dispatched to assist Pojoaque Police Dept. on a traffic stop. Upon making contact with the Pojoaque Officer it was learned the suspect was revoked suspended with an arrest clause. Suspect was booked and vehicle seized per Santa Fe County ordinance.

Victim: 47 Year Old Male
On Saturday, May 6, 2017, at approximately 4:39 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the listed location in reference to a Domestic Dispute. Upon arrival contact was made with the victim who had blood on his face, head and neck and a laceration and swelling on the back of his head. It was found the victim was currently going through a divorce with the suspect and came to pick up his things. While reading paperwork the suspect had given him regarding the divorce the suspect was hit in the head with a hammer by the suspect. The victim fell to the ground where he was hit again on the back. Suspect was able to wrestle the hammer away from the suspect and fled the residence. As victim was attempting to enter his truck the suspect ran at him with a large kitchen knife. Victim was able to enter his truck before getting stabbed or cut by the knife. Victim was afraid the suspect was going to stab him with the knife. Suspect was booked on the listed offenses.

Between April 27th, 2017 and May 7th 2017, the victim stated that her computer equipment was stolen from her unlocked office while she was out of town. The victim stated that she does not know who would have burglarized her office on her property. The victim stated that she did not have the doors to her office locked during the time she was gone and thinks that someone gained access to her office through her unlocked door. There are no known suspects or witnesses at this time.

Suspect: George Rivas -35 -Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Speeding – Fleeing / Eluding an Officer – Driving while Suspended
The suspect was observed traveling 84 mph in a 65 mph zone. The driver failed to immediately stop for the deputies’ lights and siren, even getting off and back on at two different exits. The driver stated he was scared to stop because his passenger told him not to.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Charges: DWI – Speeding 95/65 – Failure to update name and/or address
A traffic stop was conducted on the above suspect for speeding. During the stop signs of impairment were observed. The suspect subsequently agreed to a breathalyzer test with the results being .13 and .13
Since the suspect had a prior DWI on his record his vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).
0217006245 – False Evidence of Title and Registration – 05-05-17

Location: I-25 – 273 Mile Marker
Suspect: David Vigil – 64 -Santa Fe, NM
Charges: False Evidence of Title and Registration (Altered) – Revoked Driver’s License – Improper use of Registration – Roadways laned for traffic – Expired Registration – No Insurance.
The suspect was observed traveling on I-25 and failing to maintain his proper lane of travel. Upon the stopping of the vehicle all of the above violations were noted. In regards to the altered validation sticker being displayed on the registration plate - the sticker was altered by making the 16 (2016) into an 18 (2018) by using a pen to alter the 6.
The suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility on the above charge(s).

Deputy Maylone was dispatched to the listed location in reference to a stolen trailer. Upon arrival it was determined the trailer had been taken from the listed location between the hours of 1:00 AM and 5:00 AM. Case is under investigation.

Suspect: Michael Martinez, 22 yoa, Santa Fe, NM
Deputy Jaramillo was dispatched to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center in reference to a narcotic violation. Upon arrival the listed suspect was found by jail staff to be in possession of 10 orange pills of suboxone wrapped in a plastic during an x-ray body scanner. Suspect was rebooked accordingly.
