On above date, Deputy Hilderbrandt was dispatched to the above location in reference to an identity theft.  Upon arrival it was determined while out of the country the victim was mailed a letter from Ally Bank indicating unknown suspects had attempted to open an account using his name, date of birth and social security number.  Due to discrepancies in address the Bank denied the account.  No money was lost.  The case is under investigation.

Location: US 84/285 Mile Marker 172 (Tesuque area)

Suspect: Bernadette Quintana, age: 35, Santa Fe, NM

Deputies were dispatched to US 84/285 in reference to a reckless driver.  The vehicle was located and a traffic stop was conducted.  It was learned the above subject had a Magistrate warrant for failure to appear in court.  Subject was arrested and booked at ADC

Suspect: Monica Romero, age: 24, Taos, NM

Deputies were dispatched to Family Dollar store in Pojoaque in reference to a suspicious vehicle.  Vehicle was located at the above location.  It was learned the above subject had a Municipal warrant for failure to appear in court.  Subject was arrested and booked at ADC.

Location: 60 Block of Calimo Circle, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Unknown

Victim reported he was selling a guitar on craigslist for $300.00. He received a text message and email from an unknown individual who sent him a check in the amount of $1950.00 for the guitar. Victim reported arrangements were made that he deposit the whole amount in his account and send the remainder amount of $1619.50 back through Wal-Mart to Wal-Mart wireless account.  Victim later learned he was defrauded in the amount of $1950.00 through his bank.  Case still under investigation.


0216019097, DWI (Felony) Driving while Revoked, 12/12/16

Location: US 84/285 milepost 184   Pojoaque Area

Suspect: Dedra Sanchez  Age: 32  Fairview, NM

Sanchez was stopped for following too closely and showed signs of impairment, She was arrested for DWI and it was discovered that she had at least 4 prior convictions for DWI and was driving on a Revoked License.  Sanchez agreed to chemical testing and provided a blood sample which is pending analysis.  She was booked without incident.  Vehicle seized pursuant to SF CO, DWI ordinance.

Location: W. Gutierrez, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect: Dylan Ferguson, 23, Santa Fe, NM

Vehicle: white 1996 Honda Accord

On Monday, December 12, 2016 at approximately 3:02am, Pojoaque Police Department stopped the vehicle to conduct a welfare check. The driver, identified as the suspect showed signs of impairment and the Santa County Sheriff's Office was requested due to the suspect being non-native. Suspect showed signs of impairment during the Standardized Field Sobriety Tests and was placed under arrest. Suspect was read the New Mexico Implied Consent Act Advisory and refused to submit to chemical testing. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident. The suspect did not have any prior DWIs, so the vehicle was not seized.


0216019095 – Aggravated Burglary / Larceny – 12-11-16

Suspect: Unknown at this time

The victim reported that on 12-11-16 between the hours of 7:00am and 11:30pm his residence was burglarized. Suspects gained entry through the garage door and then kicked open a door to the residence.  The victim reported a 40” Samsung TV, 2-15” speakers, an antique muzzle loader and a hand gun were taken – Total value of items stolen - $2,500.00.


0216019047 – DWI / Arrest on Warrant – 12-10-16

Suspect: Luis Torres-Aguirre – 31 - Santa Fe, NM

Arrest Charges: Aggravated DWI – Possession of Controlled Substance (Cocaine) – Revoked License

Warrant Arrest Charge: Failure to pay fines

Deputy received a report of a reckless driver on US-84/285 and located the vehicle at the intersection of US-84/285 and W. Gutierrez. The driver showed signs of impairment and refused any chemical testing. The suspect’s driver’s license was found to revoked with the arrest clause attached. During a search of the suspect a folded dollar bill was found that contained a white powdery substance that field tested positive for Cocaine.

The suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility and his vehicle was seized as directed by Santa Fe County ordinance.

Between the hours of 10:30 am and 5:00 pm, unknown suspects forced entry into the above listed residence.  Case is under investigation.

Between 10:30 am and 5:00 pm unknown suspects forced entry into the above listed residence and took the above listed items.  Case is under investigation.
