On above date Deputy Jaramillo was dispatched to the area of Valle Vista in reference to an auto burglary. Upon arrival it was discovered unknown suspects made entry into the victim's unlocked vehicle and stole a purse. The case is under investigation.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2017 at approximately 2:45am, deputy conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle driven by the suspect. Suspect had a warrant for his arrest for failure to appear. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On Tuesday, January 3, 2016 at approximately 1:46am, Deputy conducted a welfare check on the suspect. Suspect was found to have an active arrest warrant for failure to appear. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

On above date, Deputy Maylone observed a blue Dodge Neon on W. Frontage Road continually honking their horn. Deputy Maylone observed the vehicle then pull off the roadway and parked. While conducting a welfare check on above suspect discovered he was driving his brother’s vehicle which was equipped with interlock device and he was unsure how device operated. I checked above suspect through dispatch and he had a revoked driver license with arrest clause and did not have an interlock driver license. Suspect was arrest and charged accordingly.

Victim reports 1994 Honda Accord taken from residence parking lot between 0130 and 0830 on 1/1/17. SF PD located the vehicle in Santa Fe and arrested the driver for Receiving or Transfering a stolen vehicle. Case is still under investigation.

Suspect:Tyler Ament Age: 23 Edgewood
Suspect was arrested for Larceny of a firearm and Tampering with evidence after it was learned he had taken a 9mm handgun from a family member without permission. The handgun has not yet been recovered and is entered into NCIC as stolen.
0216020014 - Death Investigation - 12-30-16

Victim: 64 Year old Male
The victim's brother stated he left his brother at home while he went to work on 112-30-16 at around 4:15pm. Upon returning at approximately 11:34pm he found his brother on the bathroom floor unresponsive and not breathing. The Office of the Medical Investigator (OMI)
was called to the scene and pronounced the victim deceased.
There are no signs of suspicious activity at this time.

Suspect: 17 year old male - Santa Fe, NM
Charge 1: Aggravated Battery against a Household Member with a deadly weapon.
Charge 2: Aggravated Assault against a Household Member with a deadly weapon.
The suspect was allowed to consume 2 small alcoholic drinks while with her mother for New Years celebration. The suspect admitted to consuming more drinks while her mother was not looking, and became highly intoxicated. The suspect armed herself with a kitchen knife and attacked her mother in an aggressive manner and her mother sustained minor cuts t her left hand.
The Suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Juvenile Detention Facility.

Victim stated that sometime between 12-13-16 at 11:40pm and 01-01-17 at 112:40am someone gained entry into her residence through an unlocked window. The residence was ransacked and 2 laptops, 5 gold bracelets, and 5 US Passports were taken.
