On 07-30-16 Deputies were dispatched to the above location to assist Santa Fe County Fire. Upon arrival it was learned the above victim was deceased. Family members were present and stated the decedent had significant health issues. There was no signs of foul play.

On 07-30-16 the victim reported he received a phone call on 07-28-16, from an individual claiming to be his grandson. The individual reported he was in jail in Mexico City and needed money. The victim made several wire transactions between 07-28-16 and 7-29-16 in the sum of $4,839.30. The victim realized he was being scammed and notified law enforcement. Suspect information is pending

Charges: DWI, Aggravated Assault on a Peace Officer, Driving While License Revoked, Assault, Shoplifting, Open Container, and Resisting Arrest.
On 07-29-16 Cpl. Clark was advised of a Battery which occurred at the above location. When Cpl. Clark attempted to contact the above individual attempt to resist Cpl. Clark. While escorting the individual back to the front of the location, the individual assaulted a security card and pulled a knife on Cpl. Clark. The above individual was taken into custody without further incident. It was also learned the above individual had taken a can of refried beans from the location without paying for them.
The above individual was also found to be under the influence of intoxicating liquor. The above individual was placed under arrest and a blood draw was conducted.
The individuals license was also found to be revoked for prior DWI offenses. The above individual was booked accordingly into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.

Victim reported last night at about 2:00 a.m. she heard a loud pop noise outside of her home. Victim advised she thought a can had popped which was near a heat source. Upon victim's arrival at the residence this afternoon, they located a hole which appeared to be from a bullet. Case is under investigation.

Victim stated between 10/01/15 and 07/27/16 above items were taken from the residence. Forced entry was observed at a window next to the front door. Residence was to be checked on by a friend of the owner but had not done so since October of last year. Case is under investigation.
