Case #0214018782 - Revoked Driver’s License - 11/30/14

Arrested: Scott Daniel, age 34, Espanola, NM

The above driver was stopped for failing to maintain his lane. He was found to have a revoked driver's license, pursuant to a DWI. He was placed under arrest and his vehicle was seized per county ordinance.


Case #0214018781 - AGG DWI - 11/30/14

Arrested: Ava Morris, age 54 - Tesuque, NM

The above driver was involved in a motor vehicle crash and exhibited signs of impairment when in contact with the deputy. She was placed under arrest and refused to submit to a breath test. She was booked into ADC accordingly.

0214018761 / Aggravated DWI, Speeding, Open Container / 11-30-14

Location: Interstate 25 mile marker 269, Santa Fe, NM, 87508

Arrested: Marina Archuleta 34 years old, Santa Fe, NM 87507

  On November 30, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff's Office conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle that was speeding. Contact was made with the above listed driver. The driver admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. Driver was given field sobrierty tests at which time signs of impairment were observed. Open alcoholic containers were located in the vehicle. The driver was arrested and transported to the Santa Fe Sheriff's Office where a breath test was given. Drivers breath alcohol was .16 or greater. The suspect was transported to the Santa Fe Sheriff's Office where she was booked accordingly.


Case# 0214018723 Motor Vehicle Crash (Fatality)

Vehicle #1:  Silver, 2006, Chevy, 4 door

Driver #1:  Male, 36, Los Alamos, NM

Passenger #1:  Female, 40, Los Alamos, NM

Vehicle #2:  Silver, 1995, Chevy, 4 door

Driver #2:  Female, 37, Santa Cruz, NM

On Saturday, November 29, 2014 at 4:45 AM Driver #1 was operating Vehicle #1 north at the location.  Driver #2 was operating Vehicle #2 south at the location.  For reason(s) unknown Driver #1 lost control of Vehicle #1 allowing it to cross left of the center divide line.  As a result the front bumper of Vehicle #1 struck the front bumper of Vehicle #2.  Driver #1 and Passenger #1 were airlifted to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center where they were admitted for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.  Driver #2 sustained internal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.  Driver #1 submitted to a Blood Test.  Alcohol and/or druig impairment is pending  the results of the Blood Test.

Victim reports (2) subjects broke the window to the victim's pick-up as he was sitting in the truck selling with fire wood.  The subjects then battered the victim and took victim's cell phone when trying to call for help.  Case is under investigation.

Above Suspect was located after crashing into another vehicle in a driveway. Suspect was heavily intoxicated and field sobriety tests which showed multiple signs of impairment. Suspect was arrested and refused to provide a breath sample. Suspect was arrested and booked without further incident.


Case# 0214018688 Driving While License Revoked

Vehicle:  White, 2004, Toyoya, 4 Door

Suspect:  Aubrey A. Brown, 38, Albuquerque, NM

Charged:  Driving While License Revoked, Speeding, Mandatory Proof of Financial

                 Responsibility, Display of Registration, Arrest Order - Probation Violation

On Friday, November 28, 2014 at 3:36 AM the suspect was operating the vehicle south at the location at 77 miles per hour in a posted 65 mile per hour zone.  The suspect was unable to produce proof of insurance upon request.  A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed that the suspect's New Mexico Driver's License is revoked with the Arrest Clause attached if he is not operating a vehicle equipped with an Ignition Interlock Device.  The vehicle was not so equipped.  This check also revealed that the vehicle's registration expired August 31, 2013.  The suspect is currently on probation and the Probabtion and Parole Division issued an Arrest Order for the suspect.  The vehicle was seized pursuant to Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5 as ammended.          


Case #0214018652, Death Investigation

Victiim: Male, 71, Chimayo, NM

On Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at 11:47 PM, deputies responded to location in reference to an unresponsive male. Upon arrival male was found unconscious and not breathing. Attempts to revive the male by medics were unsuccessful. Male had a lengthy medical history. Foul play is not suspected in this incident.
