Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to a reported identity theft at an address on Old Road. Contact was made with the victim who stated that a business contacted him and advised him a suspect was attemoting to make a purchase. The suspect was using the victims identity to complete the transaction. It is unknown at this time how the suspect obtained the victims information. This case remains under investigation.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance to wit: Suboxone
Correction Officers found on the above inmate to orange film like substance. The substance was located in the inmates shoe and waist band area. The inmate was re-booked and charged on the above charge without incident.

Arrested: Jimmy Romero 33 yoa male, Santa Fe, NM
Charges: Aggravated Battery against a HHM with a dw to wit: Knife, Tampering with evidence, and Battery against a HHM
Victim reports at the above location she was involved in a verbal altercation with the above suspect. The argument turned physical where family members stepped in to separate the two. When the victim was getting ready to leave the above suspect grabbed a knife and stabbed her in the armpit area. Victim was transported to the hospital and treated for the stab wound. The knife could not be located. Suspect was arrested and booked on the above charges. He was also booked on an arrest order out of Electronic Monitoring for being in violation of his conditions of release.

Deputy responded to Santa Fe Adult Detention Center in reference to above suspect in possession of a controlled substance. The suspect admitted to having possession of the controlled substance. The above suspect was re-booked accordingly.

Deputies were dispatched to the above area reference to a welfare check on a male inside of a vehicle that was parked on the side of the roadway. Upon making contact with the driver, a clear baggie with a white powdery substance was located in plain view in the center console of the vehicle. The driver was subsequently arrested and booked into the Adult detention facility.

Victim reported on today's date between 6:00 pm and 6:10 pm, unknown suspect(s) stole above mentioned item from his 2003 Ford pickup while parked in the parking lot. The victim valued the tailgate to be approximately $800.00. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.
