Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputies responded to an address on North Shining Sun in reference to a reported domestic assault. Deputies made contact with the victim who advised her boyfriend struck her. Do to the type of battery the victim could of recieved life threatening injuries. The suspect also took the victims phone away as the victim attempted to call for assistance. This case remains under investigation.

Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a residential alarm around 12:50 pm. Upon arrival around 1:27pm Deputy and resident owner find that the home had been unlawfully entered by unknown suspect(s). Entry was made by breaking a front window and the above items were taken. Case still pending further investigation.

Charges: Fraud
Victim reports the above suspect took a pre-signed check and made it out to himself. Suspect then cashed the check for the amount of $540.00. Victim stated he never gave the check to the suspect. The above suspect was arrested and booked on the above charge.

Location: Rosewood Street- Cottonwood Mobile Home Park.
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a robbery. Once on scene it was reported that the victim and his family were at the mailboxes in the subdivision when two (2) unidentified males approached the victims. The suspect(s) grabbed one victim and pushed him to the ground, the victim gave the suspect $240.00. The second victim was asked if he had any money, he didn't but gave him his cell phone. The suspects fled the scene. The suspect(s) were possibly in possession of an unknown caliber/model handgun, wore dark clothing and had their faces covered.
Deputies searched the area for the suspect(s) but they were not located. This case is currently under investigation.

Charges: Possession of a controlled substance, to wit: Heroin; Possession of a controlled substance, to wit: Suboxone; Possession of drug paraphernalia
On Friday, June 12, 2015 Deputy responded to location in reference to an inmate found in possession of a controlled substance. Suspect was found in possession of Heroin, suboxone, and drug paraphernalia. Suspect was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

The above named suspect admitted to Embezzeling $43,933.24 from her former employer Medlin Mechanical Inc. between September of 2012 and June of 2015. Suspect was booked without incident into the Adult Detention Center.

Arrested: Barros, Steven; 29 years of age; Nambe, NM 87506
Deputies responded to the above location in regards to a domestic dispute. Through investigation, it was learned that a verbal altercation ensued between boyfriend and girlfriend. The altercation turned physical by the boyfriend applying force to the girlfriend. Through the course of the altercation, the boyfriend would not let the girlfriend leave. The boyfriend also damaged a screen door and door during the process of the dispute. While enroute to the county jail, it was discovered that the suspect was in possession of a controlled substance- suboxone. The above suspect was charged and booked accordingly.

Location: US 84/285 / Mile marker 169, Santa Fe, NM 87507 ( Santa Fe area)
Arrested: Robert Martinez 26 years old, Espanola, NM, 87532
Santa Fe County Sheriff's Deputy Garcia conducted a traffic stop on Us 84/285 after an observed traffic violation. Upon further investigation it was discovered that the drivers license was revoked, arrest pursuant. The driver was arrested without incident and booked at the Santa Fe County Detention Center.

Deputies responded to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center in regards to an inmate found with narcotics. The suspected admitted holding the suspected narcotic, a white powdery substance for another inmate. The suspect was rebooked on the above charges.

On Wednesday, June 10, 2015 at 6:46 PM, Deputy responded to location in reference to a residential burglary. An unknown suspect(s) entered the residence by prying open a door causing damage to the door and removed rugs, household appliances, electronic items, clothing, and vehicle equipment. Investigation is ongoing.
