Charges- Abandonment or Abuse of A Child
Deputies responded to the above location in reference to a resident locating an approximate one year old female wondering in the complex parking lot wearing only a pamper. Contact was later made with the child's grandmother, Veronica Valencia, who admitted to consuming alcohol and not realizing the child had left the apartment. The child was checked by paramedics and released to the custody of her mother who arrived on scene after being contacted by Deputies. Veronica was arrested on the above charge and booked into the Adult Detention Center without incident.

Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to an address on East Firehouse Road in reference to a reported larceny. Deputies made contact with the victim who advised between March 29, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. and March 30, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. an uknown suspect entered his property and unlawfully took his pedal bike. This case remains under invesitigation.

Deputies had conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle for discharging a firearm at the above location. The suspect refused to cooperate with deputies orders and was resisting depuites attempts to be handcuff.

Victim (mother) reported the suspect (daughter) had attacked her and struck her several times. Suspect admitted to striking the victim during a verbal altercation. Suspect was arrested and booked into the Santa Fe County Detention Center without incident.

Santa Fe Sheriff Deputies responded to an address on E. Old Agua Fria in reference to a reported auto burglary. Deputies arrived and made contact with the victim who stated suspect(s) unlawfuly entered his motor vehicle and took keys to another vehicle. Suspect(s) then entered the other vehicle and attempted to take the second vehicle. During the process the suspect(s) crashed the vehicle at the victims home. This case remains under investigation.

The above driver was stopped for failing to maintain lanes on March 29, 2015. Contact was made with the driver and he exhibited signs of impairment. He was placed under arrest and refused to submit a breath test. The driver was booked into ADC accordingly.
