Detention Officer reports overhearing two inmates talking about contraband. After hearing this the above inmate was searched and found to be in possession of a white powdery substance wrapped in cellophane. The substance was field tested positive for Cocaine. The above was booked and charged accordingly without further incident.

Charges: Possession of a Controlled Substance
A Corporal from the Adult Detention Center reports while preforming a check of one of the units it was observed the above inmate attempting to pass an object to another inmate. The object fell to the floor where it was confiscated by the Detention Officer. The item was a green leafy substance, which was field tested positive for Marijuana. The above inmate was booked and charged accordingly without further incident.

Arrested: Shannon Gallegos 31 years old, Santa Fe, NM 87505
On March 05, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriff's Deputies were dispatched to the Santa Fe County Detention in reference to an inmate with a suspected narcotic. Deputy Duran made contact with the inmate (above listed). Said inmate admitted to being in possession of the narcotic. The inmate/suspect was charged accordingly.

Stolen: Electronics, Tools, Bank and Cell Phone Reciepts, Pepper Spray.
Victim stated that sometime between March 04, 2014 from 3:00 PM to March 05, 2014, someone opened her unlocked vehicle and took the above items. According to the victim several items within the vehicle had been rummaged through and moved around. Several items were damaged while the suspects were looking through the vehicle.
The above stolen items were valued at about $1207.00

Missing: Aaron Tarango 28years old, Santa Fe NM
On above date deputies were dispatched to above address in reference to a missing person. The reporting party wanted to report that her son Aaron Tarango from home and was upset. Mr. Tarango made statements to his sister that worried his family. He was last seen driving his Black 2008 Nissan Altima in the Airport Rd area. He was entered into NCIC as a missing person.

Victim reported sometime between 3-03-14 at 1200hrs and 03/04/14 at 7:00am an unknown suspects gained entry into the 2 vehicles located inside the secured fenced area. Upon entering the suspects stole the above items from two pickup trucks

On Wednesday, March 5, 2014 at 2:37 AM the suspect was found passed out in the vehicle, with the engine on, foot on the brake and not responding to a trffic control signal cycling from red to green. The suspect was found to be under the innfluence of an intoxicating liquor and had a Breath Alchol Content of .08 or greater. A check with the New Mexico Department of Motor Vehicles revealed a youth restricted driver's license meaning he can not operate a motor vehicle between midnight and 5:00 AM without another licensed driver over the age of 21.

On March 04, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriffs Deputies responded to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center in reference to an inmate with narcotics. Staff reported that upon a cell search several narcotics were located in a cell along with a drug paraphernalia. The suspect (above listed) was charged accordingly.

On March 04, 2014 Santa Fe Sheriffs Deputies responded to the area of Avenida Vista Grande in reference to a reported burglary. Contact was made with the victim who stated that sometime between the hours of 3:45pm- 5:30pm on todays date unknown suspect(s) gained unlawful entry into the victims vehicle. Once entry was gained suspect(s) took various electronics and various clothing. This case remains under investigation.
