Stolen: $15,000.00 in US Currency

On 12-05-12 the victim reported a friend had stolen approximately $15,000.00 from the residence. The victim stated the money was part of an inheritance. The victim believes the friend had been taking money over the past several months. The case is currently under investigation.

 


0212018761/ Death Investigation/ 12-05-12

Location: Cibola Circle- Santa Fe

Deceased: 96 year old male

On 12-05-12 Deputies were dispatched to the above location in regards to an unattended death. Upon arrival Deputies learned the decedent had a lengthy medical history. There were no signs of foul play.


0212018788 Larceny 12-5-12

Location: 4100 South Meadows Sweeney Elementary

Stolen: 1-Trane air conditioning unit, 2-aluminum coils from AC units

Victim reported that sometime between 11-30-12 at 12:00pm and 12-5-12 at 1:15pm unknown persons gained unauthorized entry into a construction site at the school and stole the above stated items. Case is still under investigation.

The above property was valued at approximately $3,000.00


0212018794 Burglary 12-5-12

Location: Calle Corazon (Airport RoadArea)

Stolen: 2- Deep Cell batteries 1- 5gallon propane tank 1 sewage hose

Victim reported that sometime between 6:30am and 4:30pm on 12-5-12 unknown person(s) stole the above stated items from his camper which was parked in his driveway. A side storage compartment was pried open to steal the sewage hose. Case is still under investigation.


0212018802 Death Investigation 12-5-12

Location:Cowboy Lane(Espanola area)

On 12-5-12 Deputies responded to the above road in reference to an unattended death. The victim (21 year old male) was found unresponsive in his vehicle. The unofficial preliminary cause of death is an overdose. Family of the deceased advised the male subject was depressed and sometimes talked about seeing his father who had passed last December.There were no signs of foul play at the scene. Case is still under investigation.

Victim reports that over the the past several months (no exact dates) various scrap metals have been missing from the property.  Also missing over this period of time are several electrical extension cords.  Case is under investigation.


0212011874 / Arson / 12-04-2012

Location: Santa Fe County Jail

Arrested: Reeahilo Carroll, 21-year-old male

On 12-04-2012 at about 8:00PM Inmate Carroll started a fire in his single man cell while being housed at the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility.  He was removed from his cell and the fire was extinguished.  The fire caused damage to the bedding and the walls in the cell.  Total estimanted damaged are about $100.00.  Mr. Carroll was transported to Saint Vincent Hospital to be treated for possible smoke inhalation.  He was charged with arson.

Location:  28 Camino Justicia, Santa Fe, NM (Santa Fe County Adult Detention Ctr.)

Suspect:  Corrine Martinez, age 33, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Bringing Contraband into a Place of Imprisonment

On 12/4/12 at approximately 1430 hours, suspect who is an inmate at the jail was seen walking with an item in her hand.  Corrections personnel confronted the suspect who refused to give them the item.  Suspect then dropped the item in which it was a black substance wrapped in a piece of plastic.  The item was field tested which tested positive for heroin.  Suspect was rebooked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location:  residence off of Carlson Road, Santa Fe, NM (off of East Frontage Rd.)

On 12/4/12 victim stated that an unknown person had used her Visa Check Card to send money to a Western Union.  Victim stated that money was sent on 12/2/12 for the amount of $432.00 and 12/3/12 for the amount of $324.00.  Victim stated that Western Union would not give her the information on who picked up the money.   Victim cancelled her check card.  Victim does not know how the unknown person got her check card number.  Estimated value is $756.00.
