Sometime between 1:00pm and 10:00pm on September 13th someone entered the victim's residence through an unlocked window. The suspect pryed open the door to a safe in the residence and stole $3,000 cash from inside the safe.

On 09-15-13 at about 4:00AM an unidentified male entered the Family Dollar store on Airport Road by throwing a rock through the front glass door. The suspect entered the store and stole the above items.

Victim stated that while performing his duties the suspect began to fight with the victim. During the struggle the suspect bit the victim on his arm. The victim had an injury consistent with the incident described. The suspect was arrested and re-booked accordingly.

On 9/13/13 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that between 8:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. unknown persons gained entry into her residence by kicking the door. Victim stated that unknown persons took a flatscreen TV, miscellaneous music equipment, and a camcorder. Estimated value of items taken is $4,000.00. Estimated damage amount is $300.00.

Suspect: Rick Arthur Ortiz, age 47, Santa Fe, NM
Charged: Speeding, Driving while license revoked
On 9/10/13 deputy observed a vehicle traveling Westbound on Agua Fria at a high rate of speed. Vehicle was tracked on radar going 43 mph in a 30 mph zone. A traffic stop was conducted in which contact was made with the suspect. A driver's license inquiry was made and revealed that the suspect had a suspended/revoked driver's license with the arrest clause. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center. The vehicle was seized as per Santa Fe County Ordinance 2006-5.

Victim stated that unknown persons took an Xbox 360, an LCD TV, and a laptop computer. Estimated value of items taken is $700.00. Damage to the window is estimated at $200.00.

On 9/10/13 deputies were dispatched to the above location in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Deputies arrived on scene and observed the vehicle rolled over on its roof. Contact was made with the suspect who admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the crash. Suspect showed signs of impairment. Suspect refused to take SFST's. Suspect was arrested. Suspect was read the NM Implied Consent and submitted to a breath test. Suspects BrAC results were .24, .22. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Victim reported that sometime between 09/09/2013 10:00am and 9/10/2013 at 8:30am some unknown person forced entry into the above business by forcing open the front door. The unknown suspects stole the above listed items.

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to a death investigation. The victim (56 year old male) was found unresponsive and not breathing by family member. CPR was not conducted by paramedics. This incident is currently under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

On 9/8/13 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a motor vehicle crash. Deputies arrived on scene and the suspect was slumped over and incoherent. Deputies were informed that the suspect had an odor of alcohol emitting from her breath. Suspect admitted to consuming alcoholic beverages. Suspect was placed under arrest and read the NM Implied Consent in which she refused to take the tests. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
