Suspect: Juvenal Mendez-Chavez Age: 36 Santa Fe
Mendez-Chavez was arrested for Burglary after he was observed by deputies exiting the property with a car full of electric power tools and a generator. Stolen items totaled $2600.00. Mendez-Chavez was booked without incident.

School staff reported to Deputies on that on Friday, September 7,2012 a parent entered school grounds and had a large knife attached to his hip in a sheath. Staff stated they contacted the suspect and told him he needed to leave. Case is under investigation.

Charged: Driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, No Insurance, Following to Close
On 9/10/12 at approximately 1230 hours deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a Motor Vehicle Crash. As deputy was obtaining information, it was learned that the suspect was driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license with the arrest clause. Suspect was cited for the crash for following to close and suspect did not provide insurance for the vehicle. Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location: residence off of Sloman Lane, Santa Fe, NM (off of SFC Rd. 70)
On 9/10/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that sometime between 6:00am and 12:30pm an unidentified suspect damaged the rear door by trying to pry open the door. Suspects were able to pry open the east side door to the residence and stole the items from within. Victim stated the unknown suspect took a single shot 20 gauge shotgun, several silver coins, misc. jewelry, an Xbox 360, a Playstation, misc Xbox and Playstation games, an Oil painting, a Chuck Jones copy painting, and 2 badges. Estimated value of the items taken is $9,260.00. Estimated damage amount is $100.00.

On 9/10/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to a burglary. Victim stated that sometime about a week and a half ago, she went to her neighbor's apartment and left the door to her apartment unlocked. Victim stated that when she returned she discovered her medication was missing. Nothing else was taken. Estimated value of items taken is $100.00.

On above date deputies were dispatched to above address in reference to a missing person. The reporting party wanted to report that his son Christopher Schaffer returned home this evening to get some cloths, but then left again. Christopher would not tell his family where he was or where he was going.

Victim reported that about 1 month ago he was sexually assaulted at the above location. by his roommate. Victim stated the suspect attempted to sexually assault him again tonight. Victim was able to fight of the suspect who was taken toSt Vincent’s Hospital for injuries. Victim advised he did not want to pursue criminal charges against the suspect.

Suspect: Alonzo Moya, age 22, Santa Fe, NM
Charged: Aggravated Assault with a deadly weapon, Criminal Damage to Property (x2), Resisting, Evading or Obstructing an Officer
On 9/8/12 deputy responded to above location in reference to a suspicious male. Upon arrival it was learned that the suspect had damaged the rear window to victim's vehicle. Victim confronted the suspect who threw a rock at him and missed. Suspect then threw a larger rock at victim and fled the area. Deputy was searching for suspect and the suspect broke the back and front windshield of the deputy's unit. Suspect was located and then fled from deputy. Suspect was tased and placed under arrest. Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

On 9/8/12 deputy was dispatched to above location in reference to a battery. Victim stated that the suspect had gone over to their sister's residence and was arguing with him. Victim stated that the suspect then punched him in the head. Suspect was threatening to batter the victim while the deputy was on scene. Suspect was placed under arrest, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.
