Location: 100 block of NM 344  Edgewood

Deputies responded to a welfare check of a 69 year old male at the request of family.  Upon arrival the male was found deceased.  He had a medical history of heart disease and the death appears to be of natural causes.  No foul play suspected.


Case#0212008508 / Unlawful taking of a motor vehicle / 06-05-2012

Location: residence on Aubrey Lane, La Puebla area of Santa Fe County

Stolen vehicle:  red in color 2010 Ford F-150 truck

    On 06-05-2012 at about 1:30AM the victim's vehicle was stolen from the driveway of a residence on Aubrey Lane.  The vehicle was left unlocked and the keys inside.  The suspect drove the vehicle a short distance from the residence and wrecked into a guard rail on Fire House Road.  The suspect then fled the scene on foot.  There is no suspect information at this time.  The case is under investigation. 


Case#0212008501 / Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property, Fraudulent use of a credit card / 06-04-2012

Location: San ta Fe Ski Basin trail head

Items stolen: brown purse with misc contents valued at $200.00

    On 06-04-2012 between the hours of 4:00PM and 5:00PM unknown suspects broke into the victim's 2008 Nissan truck by breaking out the passenger window.  A brown purse was stolen from within the vehicle.  The victim's credit card was used shortly after at a Burger King in Santa Fe.  The case is under investigation. 


0212008492 Trafficing a Controlled Substance-Oxycodone 6-4-12

Location: W. Gutierrez Street (Pojoaque Area)

Management at the Nambe Drug Pharmacy reported that on 5-31-12 an employee was given a prescription pill by a customer for helping him pay for his prescription. Case is still under investigation.

Items Stolen: Electronics

Victim reported to Deputy that the doors to his vehicle were left unlocked over night and between the hours of 10:00 pm and 6:00 am unknown persons stole the listed item.  Case is still under investigation. 


0212008485 / Aggravated Assault on a household member / 06-04-2012

Location: 2000 Block of Sycamore Loop    Santa Fe,NM

Victim reported to Deputies that the suspect attempted to obtain his belongings after a breakup.  Suspect grabbed the victim as she attempted to flee and he kicked down the door. The suspect then armed himself with a knife and fled after learning that the victim notified law enforcement. Case is still under investigation.

Location: Sierra Azul      Santa Fe,NM

Victim reported to Deputy that she was contacted by the Consumer Protection Division of Visa Corp. and informed that there were two suspicious transaction made on her credit card. She was informed that the transactions were denied and merchandise was not sent to the addresses used which were in Texas and California. Case is still under investigation.


0212008490 Auto Burglary (attempted) 6-4-12

Location:Hyde Park Road(Chamisa Trailhead Area)

Stolen: N/A

Crime check female reported that on 6-4-12 at approximately 4:00pm she observed a 2008 Mazda 3 with a shattered passenger window. The victim and owner of the vehicle were unable to be located. It didn’t appear that the suspects actually gained entry into the vehicle. Case is still under investigation.

Stolen: portable DVD player, Sky Caddy Gps, vehicle insurance and registration

Victim reported on this date that his two unlocked vehicles had been burglarized. The suspect(s) removed the above items from a black in color Ford F-250. The only item that was removed from the second vehicle (Cadillac Escalade) was the vehicle registration. The theft occurred between June 3, 2012 to June 4, 2012.

The above listed items stolen were valued at about $589.00


0212008466 UNLAWFUL TAKING OF VEHICLE/MOTOR VEHICLE 6/4/12

Location: FLORAL DRIVE (Agua FriaArea)

Stolen: maroon 1990 Olds Calais value $800.00

Victim stated she noticed the above vehicle to be missing from her yard. Witnesses advised that a Capital Scrap Metals truck came to the residence and took the above vehicle. Witness stated that the victim’s daughter was there with the Capital Scrap Metals truck and left the residence when they did. Deputies verified that Capital Scrap Metals had the vehicle and the vehicle had been scrapped.
