James Montano was arrested for driving while his license was Revoked for a prior DWI after being stopped for speeding. He was booked accordingly and his vheicle, a 2001 Jeep Cherokee was siezed in accordance with the Santa Fe County DWI Vehicle Seizure Ordinance.

Deputies conducted traffic stop for traffic infraction and discovered driver was impaired. Driver was arrested and submitted to chemical testing (Blood Draw) with results pending. Driver was booked accordingly.

Victim stated that sometime between 2/16/13, 8:00pm and 2/17/13 7:00am some unknown person(s) stole the tires and wheels off her vehicle at the above location.
The items stolen were valued at about $2000.00

On 02-19-2013 at about 1:30AM Mr. Ortiz was involved in an altercation with a family member. During the altercation he battered the family member. The Sheriff's Office was called to the scene, conducted an investigation and arrested Mr. Ortiz on the above listed charge.

On this date Deputies responded to the above address in reference to an unattended death. The victim (48 year old male) was found unresponsive in his vehicle. It was undetermined at this time what the exact cause of death was but appears to be of natural causes there were no signs of foul play at the scene.
