On Thursday, August 13, 2026, deputies responded to the above area in reference to several mailboxes being damaged. This was alleged to have occurred during the nighttime hours of August 12 into the 13th. It appears a vehicle may have struck the mailboxes. Suspect information is pending at this time.

Deputies were dispatched to a domesitc dispute, during the investigation it was determined that the suspect did not allow the victim to contact 911 for help during a physical altercation and did not let her leave. The suspect was arrested and booked accordingly.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, deputies made contact with a victim who wanted to report fraud. Contact was made with the victim and they advised they received a call from someone claiming to be from FedEx. It was reported there was an issue with the payment and the person instructed the victim to go to a Bitcoin ATM and deposit over $7,000. The victim complied and later deposited the money. This case remains under investigation.

On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when they observed a vehicle speeding. A traffic stop was conducted and contact was made with the above driver. During the traffic stop, it was discovered the driver's NM license was revoked, and required an interlock. The vehicle was not equipped with an interlock. She was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. There, she was booked accordingly and without incident.

Location: U.S. 285/Interstate 25, Santa Fe, NM
Arrested: Marcus Hernandez, 62 YOM
On Wednesday, August 12, 2026, deputies responded to the above area for a report of a wrong way driver. It was advised a citizen was blocking a vehicle from entering Interstate 25 from the wrong direction. Deputies arrived on scene and signs of impairment were noted on the driver. The driver was subsequently placed under arrest for DWI. He was read the NM Implied Consent Advisory and he agreed to chemical testing. At the Santa Fe County Sheriff's Office, the driver provided breath samples which showed the driver to be over the legal limit. He was booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility without incident.

Deputies conducted a traffic stop on an individual, while contact was made he was idenified and had an active warrant for his arrest. Subject was arrested and booked without incident.

Deputies responded to the victims residence. Adriana Torres was arrested for violating a restraining order. The protected party, advised Adriana was on his patio. Adriana was taken into custody and booked into ADC without incident.
Case #2026004198 Aggravated Battery on a Household Member

Deputies responded to the location in reference to a domestic disturbance. Deputies learned the suspect responded to the location and a verbal argument ensued. The argument escalated into a physical altercation.

Subject: Martha Chaparro, 64 YOF
On August 10, 2026 at approximately 10:50 PM, Deputies were dispatched to the area of mile marker 169 on US 84/285 in reference to a wrong way driver traveling south in the northbound lane. A Deputy was able to locate the vehicle traveling southbound in the north bound lane of N. St. Francis Drive just north of Alamo Drive. As the Deputy attempted to stop the vehicle, the vehicle struck the Deputy's Patrol unit and continued traveling wrong way subsequently coming to a stop in a ditch near the intersection of Alamo Drive and N. St. Francis Drive. Upon making contact with the driver, Deputies observed signs of impairment. Driver agreed to standardized field sobriety tests, but only performed partial tests, however further signs of impairment were observed as well as open alcholic beverage containers inside the vehicle. The driver refused to provide breath samples, and a blood warrant drafted. Martha was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center where she was booked into jail without furhterr incident.

On August 11, 2026, at approximatley 1:36 AM Deputy Benjamin Wilson was dispatched to the location in reference to an unlawful taking of a motor vehicle. Upon arrival Deputy Wilson made contact with the registered owner Victor Montano. He advised that he let his ex-girlfriend Rachel Serna use his vehicle listed above on Tuesday August 4, 2026 and she has not returned to the address since. She has not answered any of his calls. He does not know her current whereabouts. The vehicle was entered into NCIC as stolen.
