A traffic stop was conducted on the above suspect for driving careless, signs of impairement were observed. A DWI investigation was conducted and the suspect was arrested and booked.

Deputies respnded to a reported domestic disturbance between the suspect and his wife, during the altercation it was learned that he had assaulted and battered her. He was also charged with false imprisonment and assault against a household member.

Stolen: Smith and Wesson .38 Revolver
On Wednesday, July 29, 2026, deputies made contact with a victim who advised a Smith and Wesson revolver had been stolen from their vehicle. The date at which this occurred is unknown, however, the victim noticed the revolver missing today. The revolver was not entered into NCIC as stolen due to a lack of an available serial number. This case remains under investigaiton.

Arrested: Matthew Jacob Trujillo, 30 YOM, Alcalde, NM
On July 29, 2026, deputies were patrolling the above area when they were contacted by a citizen who wanted to report their vehicle as stolen. Contact was made with the above suspect and it was discovered he had an active bench warrant. Ultimately, the citizen did not want to pursue charges for the stolen vehicle. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility. There, he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Deputies observed a male sitting in a vehicle with the door open and appeard unconscious, welfare check was conducted and the male was detained. During the investigation it was learned that the male was driving while revoked and was in possession of cocaine. The male was arrested and booked.

Deputies responded to a single motor vehicle crash, the driver of the vehicle had fled the scene and was apprehended a short distance away. The above suspect admitted to driving and signs of impairment were observed. The suspect was arrested and booked.

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, deputies responded to the above area in reference to a domestic disturbance. Upon arrival, contact was made with the victim. The victim advised a household member had battered them, causing visible injuries. The above suspect was unable to be located in the area. An arrest warrant for the susepct was sought. The arrest warrant was approved. The suspect was later located at the residence and he was placed under arrest. He was transported to the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Facility and booked without incident.

On Tuesday, July 28, 2026, deputies made contact with the victim who advised an unknown person had fraudently cashed a credit card check for $1800. The check was cashed at the beginning of July 2026. This case remains under investigation.
