On Thursday, 18 December 2025, Deputy initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle for a traffic violation. The above mentioned driver had an odor of alcohol and was asked to perform field sobriety tests. Signs of impairment were observed and the driver was arrested for DWI. Driver informed Deputy there were handguns in the vehicle which were seized as evidence. Driver later provided a breath sample which was above the legal limit. Driver was transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center where he was booked into jail accordingly and without incident.
Case #2025007338/Possession of a Controlled Substance/12-18-2025

Location: Cities of Gold Rd., Pojoaque, NM
Arrested: Nicholas Alley, 47 YOM
On Thursday, December 18, 2025, Deputy was dispatched to the above location to assist the Pojoaque Police Department. The driver was found to have a revoked driver's license, due to a previous DWI. When the male was asked to step out of the vehicle he refused. After removing the driver from the vehicle, he was arrested and while conducting a search of his person a white powder substance was found. The white powdery substance was field tested and showed positive for Ketamine. The male was transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center where he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Deceased: 74 Year Old Female
Deputies responded to the scene and spoke to EMS, who advised no signs of life were observed. The deceased suffered from medical conditions and passed away of natural causes. Foul play is not suspect at this time.

Deceased: 81 Year Old Male
Deputies responded to the scene and spoke to EMS, who advised no signs of life were observed. The deceased suffered from medical conditions and passed away of natural causes. Foul play is not suspect at this time.

Arrested: Alexus Lewis 23 yof
On 12/17/2025, deputies conducted a traffic stop upon speaking with the driver it was determined the passenger, Ms. Lewis, was the registered onwner of the vehicle. A check of her license revealed she had an active warrant for her arrest. Ms. Lewis was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center and booked accordingly and without further incident.

Arrested: Jose Castro Estrada 21, YOM
On Wednesday, December 17, 2025, deputies were patrolling the above area when they conducted a traffic stop. Upon contacting the above driver, it was found his license was revoked from a previous DUI and he had an active arrest warrant. He was placed under arrest and transported to the Santa Fe Adult Detention Center. There he was booked accordingly and without incident.

Arrested: Antonio Maestas, 39 YOM
On December 17, 2025, while on patrol of the area of NM 76 near Mile Marker 2, a deputy ran NM license plate BRYM91 through MVD database. The vehicle returned with the registered owner possibly having a revoked driver’s license due to a DUI. A traffic stop was initiated, and the driver was identified to be the registered owner. His driver’s license was comfirmed to be revoked pursuant to a DUI and he was taken into custody. Driver was unable to provide proof of insurance. He was transported to Santa Fe ADC without incident and booked accordingly on the above-mentioned charges.

Arrested- Joaquin Perea (45 year old male/ Santa Fe)
Arrested- Corrine Martinez (46 year old female/ Santa Fe
Location- Osage/ Agua Fria
Joaquin and Corrine were stopped for jay walking, and each found to have an outstanding warrant. Both were arrested and booked into the SF ADC. While at the jail, Joaquin was found to be concealing narcotics. He was subsequently charged for the narcotics.

Arrested- Gilbert Valdez Jr. (28 year old male/ Espanola)
Location- NM 76/ N Riverside
Gilbert flagged down a deputy while walking on NM 76. While speaking to Gilbert, it was discovered that he had an outstanding warrant and was arrested. He was later booked at the SF ADC.

Stolen: 2025 Black in color 5x10 CARR Trailer
Deputies responded to the location in reference to a stolen construction trailer. Contact was made with the reporting party who provided the trailer information. The case is actively under investigation pending suspect(s) information.
