Stolen: Check book

Victim reported that  he left his truck unsecured on Saturday May, 19, 2012  and advised he check book could not be located and believed it was stolen. Attempts were made to cash checks from his account and only one transaction was completed. This case is currently under investigation and suspects are pending.

Location:8300 Hyde Park Road,Santa Fe,NM(Borrego Trail Head)

Stolen: Back pack, Ipod, cellular phone chargers, heartrate mointer, $50.00 cash, gift master card, black purse.

Victim reported that between May 24, 2012 at 9:30AM and 2:45 PM unknown suspect(s) gained forced entry and unlawfully removed the above stated items from his 2008 GMC Yukon SUV. Suspects are pending further investigation.

The above items stolen were valued at about $1800.00

On Thursday, May 24, 2012, between 3:00 PM and 4:00 PM, person(s) unknown, utilizing unknown means gained entry to a shed at a residence at the location by forcing open the door.  It is unknown if any items were removed.  Vehicles #1 and #2 were parked at the location and the windshields of both vehicles were shatterred.

On Tursday, May 24, 2012 between 7:15 PM and 9:43 PM, person(s) unknown, utilizing unknown means gained entry to the vehicle and removed it from the parking lot of a bussiness at the location.


Case# 0212007833 Battery Against a Household Member

Victim #1:  Female, 55, Santa Fe, NM

Victim #2:  Male, 43, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Alex Gallegos, 28, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Baattery Against a Household Member, Battery

On Thursday, May 24, 2012 at 5:00 PM the suspect and victims were involved in a physical altercation at a residence at the  location.  The suspect struck both victims in the facial area with a closed fist.  Both victims were treated at the scene for minor injuries.

Location:  145 Calle Corazon, Santa Fe, NM (West Meadows MHP)

Suspect:  Kevin Romero, age 43, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Assault on a household member, Resisting or Obstructing an officer (x2)

On 5/24/12 deputies responded to above location in reference to a domestic dispute.  Upon arrival suspect was highly intoxicated.  While speaking to suspect he became verbally abusive to officers and to the victim. Suspect approached victim with his fists clenched and raised.  Officers then put suspect up against a wood fence in which suspect wrapped his arms through the fence and would not let go.  Deputies gave suspect several commands in which suspect refused.  Suspect was then tased and placed under arrest.  Suspect was transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.

Location:  3500 block of Placita Real Loop, Santa Fe, NM (off of Airport Road)

On 5/24/12 deputies were dispatched to above location in reference to a burglary in progress.  Witnesses stated that they observed vehicles parked at the residence and subjects loading cabinets and counter tops into a trailer.  There were no signs of forced entry.  The residence is vacant at this time.  It is unknown on the estimated value of the items.


Case#:  0212007768/ Driving while license suspended-revoked, No seatbelt, Expired registration plate/ Date:  05/23/12

Location:  Agua Fria & Lopez Lane, Santa Fe, NM

Suspect:  Brian Sepulveda, age 31, Santa Fe, NM

Charged:  Driving on a suspended/revoked driver's license, No seatbelt, Expired registration

On 5/23/12 at 1731 hours suspect was stopeed after he did not have his seatbelt while his vehicle was in motion on the roadway.  Suspect was suppose to have an interlock device installed in his vehicle but did not have an interlock license in his possession.  A driver's license inquiry revealed that suspect's license was revoked as per the arrest clause.  The registration revealed an expired registration.  Suspect was arrested, transported and booked into the Santa Fe County Adult Detention Center.  The vehicle was seized as per the Santa Fe County DWI seizure ordinance.


Case#:  0212007763/ Aggravated Burglary, Larceny, Criminal Damage to Property/ Date: 05/23/12

Location:  residence off of Camino Alegre, Edgewood, NM

On 5/23/12 deputy proceeded over to above location in reference to a burglary.  Victim stated that on 5/21/12 while she was out of town her son proceeded over to her residence and threw a party.  Victim stated that her son was not allowed into her residence.  Victim stated that entry was gained through the double doors on the southeast side.  Victim stated that unknown persons had damaged several doors, a glass cabinet, a wall/bookcase and a Whirlpool dryer.  The residence was also ransacked.  Victim stated that unknown persons took a handgun and an Ipod from within the residence. Estimated damage amount is $550.00.  Estimated value of items taken is $920.00.
