Location: 6401 Richard's Ave. (Santa Fe Community College)

    On 07/25/2011 a representative for the Community College reported one of the students checked out $4,360 worth of camera equipment and failed to return it within the alloted time frame.  The college made several attempts to get the camera equipment back with no sucess.  After the college filed a report with the Sheriff's Office the equipment was returned.  This case is closed and has been refered to the District Attorney's Office for their review.

Location: vacant land off South Meadows Road, Santa Fe N.M.

Vehicle: 1990 Komfort RV

Items stolen: water pump and car battery valued at $275.00

Item damaged: RV door lock valued at $50.00

On 07/25 2011 victim reported sometime between last Friday and yesterday unknown suspect broke the lock to the victim's RV and stole the water pump from inside.  The suspect also stole a car battery that was connected to the front of the RV.

Suspect: Dylan Jarvis        Age: 21               Santa Fe,NM

  Suspect was contacted by Deputies after recieving phones calls of people screaming in the area. Subject when contacted had in his possession over one ounce of Marijuana, hashish and drug paraphernalia. Subject was arrested and taken to jail where he was charged accordingly. Subsance was field tested and tested positive for controlled substance.

Vehicle: 1999 Volks  Beetle  Blue

Suspect: Ashton Koons          Age:55       Albuquerque,NM

Deputies were dispatched to listed location in reference to a crash. Upon arriving and contacting the driver, he showed signs of impairment. Driver admitted to consuming prescription medication prior to the crash. Sobriety tests were administered and driver was arrested. Driver submitted to chemical testing, results are pending from a legal blood draw.

Suspect: Louie Romero       Age:37                           Santa Fe,NM

Victim reported to Deputies that suspect was calling her phone and leaving threatening messages. Deputies heard the messages and were informed that she had just finished reporting threats earlier in the day. Victim reported that she also heard gun shots near her home believed to be by the suspect. Suspect was contacted and was arrested without incident

Vehicle: 2008 Chrysler 300  Silver

Victim reported that while waiting for her boyfriend in the front entrance area to the listed location, she was approached by two males asking for a cigarette. Victim stated that the males grabbed for the keys assaulting her in the process. Victim was able to get away from the suspects and drove o a nearby location calling for law enforcement. Case is still under investigation

Suspect: Arnold Velasquez      Age: 51         Santa Fe,NM

Vehicle: 2008 Gray  Nissan  Maxima

  Deputy initiated a traffic stop with listed vehicle after it was reported as being involved in a road rage incident and the driver was driving in a careless manner. Contact was made with the driver who showed signs of impairment. Driver admitted to drinking and sobriety tests were administered. driver was found to be impaired and was arrested. Driver submitted to chemical testing with the results being .09 / .10. The driver was booked into jail. 


Case#0211010657 / Theft of Credit Card, Fraudulent use of a Credit Card, Larceny / 07/24/2011

Location: Residence off Ramada Way, Valle Vista Sub Division, Santa Fe N.M.

Items stolen: Purse with wallet containing social security card, ATM card, Debit card, NM Driver's license. Total value of $100.00

    On 07/24/2011 victim reported someone stole her purse sometime yesterday, possibly from her house or vehicle between 3:30pm and 10:00pm.  The suspect used her debit card to withdrawl a total of $695.00 from an ATM machine in Santa Fe.  The investigation is active.  


Case#0211010716 / Breaking and Entering / 07/24/2011

Location: residence off Las Lomas Drive, Valle Vista subdivision, Santa Fe County

    Victim reported sometime in the past two weeks while she was out of town the suspect entered her home by removing an air conditioning unit from her window.  Victim thinks the suspect is a homeless male she knows and he got into her house to stay there while she was out of town.  Victim reported no items were stolen from her home.  The investigation is active.


Case#0211010659 / Felony DWI / 07/23/2011

Location: Interstate 25 Northbound at mile post 286

Suspect: Erlinda Lujan, 55-year-old female from Santa Fe N.M.

    On 07/23/2011 at approximately 1:30pm the above suspect was traveling Northbound on I-25 when she lost control of her vehicle and crashed into a hill rolling her vehicle over.  She was found to be under the influence of alcohol and was arrested after being treated for injuries at Saint Vincent Hospital.
