Victim reported that on this date seven unknown person came to his residence and threatened him with weapons. The unknown suspects unlawfully entered his residence and stole his above listed items. The victim appeared to be intoxicated and confused.

The above listed stolen items were valued at about $110.00
 


Case# 0211002185 Motor Vehicle Crash (Fatality)

Location:  6401 Richards Avenue (Santa Fe Community College)

Vehicle:  Silver, 1999, Honda, Station Wagon

Victim:  Vanja Aljinovic, 64, Santa Fe, NM

On February 14, 2011 at 7:47 PM the Victim was operating the vehicle east in the main driveway at the location.  For reason(s) unknown the Victim failed to negotiate a left curve, allowing the vehicle to leave the roadway and striking the curb.  The vehicle then traveled approximately 19 feet at which time the front bumper struck a 3.5 foot high masonry wall.  The Victim, who was not wearing a seat belt, struck his head on the windshield.  The Victim was transported to Christus Saint Vincent Regional Medical Center where he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at 8:56 PM by Dr. Ryan.  Alcohol does not appear to be a factor in the crash.  The Victim did have a history of heart related illness.


CASE 0211002168 / BATTERY ON A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER / 02-14-2011

LOCATION:  NAMBE REST STATION, BUFFALO THUNDER ROAD

ARRESTED:  CARLOS SALAZAR, 44 YOA UPPER SAN PEDRO AREA

CHARGES:  BATTERY ON A HOUSEHOLD MEMBER

 

On 2-14-2011, officerI was dispatched to the Diary Queen in Pojaque in reference to a domestic. Upon arrival he spoke with the victim. She stated she was having luch with her boyfriend when they started arguing about money and his medication. The victim explained that he hit her twice in the right side of her face with a open palm and once on her nose causing her to bleed heavily. She explained she got out of the vehicle they were in and he began to chase her at which point a passer by stopped and picked her up. Suspect was arrested later at his residence for Battery on a house hold member and booked into the Adult Detention Center.

 


 


CASE 0211002167 / DRIVING ON A SUSPENDED OR REVOKED DRIVERS LICENSE, PROOF OF INSURANCE /  0214-2011

LOCATION:  NM-599 AND RIDGETOP ROAD, SANTA FE AREA

ARRESTED:  PETER SANDOVAL, 40 YOA MALE

CHARGES:  DRIVING ON A REVOKED LICENSE AND PROOF OF INSURANCE

ON THIS DATE DEPUTY DAVID CONDUCTED A TRAFFIC STOP AND FOUND WHERE THE DRIVER HAD A REVOKED DRIVER'S LICENSE DUE TO A DWI OFFENCE AND WAS NOT ABLE TO SHOW PROOF OF INSURANCE.  PETER SANDOVAL WAS ARRESTED AND TAKEN TO THE ADULT DETENTION CENTER.  THE VEHICLE WAS IMPOUNDED.

Location: 500 block of NM Hwy 344 South Mtn. Elementary School (Edgewood area)

Stolen: stuffed animal, Strobe Light, Party Light, Video Camera

Victim reported that sometime between 2/13/11 5:30pm and 2/14/11 8:00am, someone unlawfully entered the above school by forcing open a door. Upon entering several door and windows were damaged and the above listed items were stolen. The value of the items stolen and damaged is estimated to be over $20000.00.

Stolen: 2 Car stereos unknown make or model

Victim reported that sometime between 2/11/11 5:30pm and 2/14/11 8:00pm some unknown person unlawfully entered two unlocked vehicles and stole the above listed items as they were parked in the complainants lot.

The items stolen were valued at under $1000.00

Victim reported that she was involved in a argument with the suspect who is the father of her minor child. Victim reported that suspect grabbed her hair during the argument. Suspect was contacted and arrested without incident.

Victim reported that listed suspect was found sitting in his vehicle looking through his property. Victim stated when he confronted the suspect, the suspect fled on foot. Deputies located suspect in the area and after speaking with parties suspect was placed under arrest for listed charge.

Deputies responded to domestic dispute involving injury. Deputies found that victim was attacked by step father who used a dumbell striking victim in head. Victim sustained minor injury and was treated on scene. Suspect  fled the scene and could not be located. Case is still under investigation.
